24" Dolle Katana Floating Metal Shelf White

I had been looking for floating metal shelves for months, but the ones that had the clean minimal look I liked (bludot, CB2, etc) were at least twice as expensive. At first, I was a little surprised at how heavy they were (they are 1/8" gauge steel) and the pre-drilled holes didn't line up with the existing wall studs in my house so I was a little nervous that they would be too much weight on the walls. My walls are 5/8" drywall with a gap behind. However with the right anchors, they are really sturdy. I have several coffee mugs on them and they feel very secure. As to the other reviewer who complained that the shelves weren't completely straight, I think this is intentional. The horizontal part of the shelf angles up a little and is slightly less than 90 degrees to the mounting plate in the back. I also tried to bend it down at first. But once I placed objects on them, I realized that it is designed this way to compensate for the weight of the objects. If they were at perfect right angles when empty, the shelf would droop down when in use and the objects would be more likely to slide off. These are high quality shelves. Highly recommend :)

I like the simple modern design but the shelves weren't completely straight. We had to try to bend it to be straight, which still wasn't fully achievable.
