Q: Is this strong enough to hold a good sized backpack for school? I want to have something to put my jacket and backpack on after school and I want to make sure this is strong enough to hold everything without falling off of the wall.

The hooks look good overall and may well hold up. Unfortunately I bought it to match other "soft iron" (read: dark gray) items from Threshold. I have recently installed their key hooks and those look gorgeous. Unfortunately, these hooks but it is a matte black and not a match from the other "soft iron" and similar items in my kitchen. We already drilled the holes so even if I return it, I've already ruined my wall. :( :(

These seem burly enough for winter coats and bags and that's exactly what I need these for. However, be mindful when ordering online the quality control might not be great. The install holes are supposed to be counterbored from the outside, but the rack might be counterbored incorrectly. It doesn't reduce funtionality, but it looks bad.

Love the dark metal look and simplicity! Could easily be used for a farmhouse or more modern look. Install was simple, however the drywall anchors are exposed on either side of the rack since their diameter is wider than the width of the rack wire - quick remedy was to paint over the anchors before installing the rack itself (my walls are gray). Love this look!

I love this and hung two next to each other in my mud room. It’s not really wire, it’s quite solid and substantial. Another reviewer stated that it’s not ideal for sweaters, and I agree. But for heavy purses and coats, it’s ideal!
