Q: Does this open at all? I need to accommodate a tree stand that is 30" and can leave part of the back open since it is in a corner.

A: Yes! Ours is also in a corner and this works out perfectly! It has Velcro tabs on it with open slots for each tab but you can really just attach the Velcro to any place on the collar as it’s felt and the Velcro sticks to it. So it’s very adjustable. We love ours

This gives such a clean, bold look around our tree. Went with white since we have dark floors and I’m so happy I did. It POPS. I’ve was going to get a wicker/wood one and I’m so glad I decided to do this one! It collapses for storing which will be so nice. This tree collar was exactly what I was looking for. We plan to do yearly handprints for the kids to show their growth over the years (mom and dad and the dog won’t add anymore since we are all done growing). There looks to be room for 10-15 more years depending on how close we squeeze their prints in. I figure we can also use the inside as they get even older. The collar itself is great, very sturdy and stands just as it should. The connection point is firm. Our tree is smaller this year but the collar will work with bigger trees in future as well. Really glad I purchased this! Crafting tip… use mod podge first before putting down painted prints, or the felt will absorb the paint too much.
