I wonder if the formulation for this paint changes with batches. My Glittering Gold Metallic paint is more of a glaze. It will not cover a color that is underneath it. The medium is clear with mica flakes. I have shaken and stirred it well and tried more than one coat but it is what it is. I do mixed media and it will lay down a glazing bit of glitter. Brushmarks are very evident (since the mica moves within the medium). But I was more interested in solid gold accents. I've been playing with it, achieving some interesting results but I'll probably just pass it on to someone else at some point.

I was a little worried that it wasn’t going to do the trick. I had a few pieces that got scratched/damaged in my move that needed some help. Give this a good shake and don’t be shy with coating whatever you need. It finishes so smooth no matter the brush you use. My picture frames are now shiny and new! This is a great choice!!
