Q: This says spot or wipe clean which isn't sanitary. Are these for just looks or actually using in the kitchen for baking? Can these not be hand washed, do they rust?

A: Hello Curious - These steel racks can be washed with soap and water and are used for baking. We don't recommend leaving them submerged in water for long periods of time and that you be sure to towel dry thoroughly after washing to remove any excess water. Steel submerged in water for long periods of time or not dried properly can began to rust. I hope this helps. - Lorraine

Very well-built, I love the pattern of the bars that go across instead of the typical gingham/cube design most cooling racks have. Big bummer is that they now produce them in a completely different finish! I ordered one in November and wanted a second set for days I bake in batches. I just received it today (Feb 15) and it’s completely different than the one I got in November that is in a satin silver finish, not shiny but a muted silver which I absolutely love. The new set has a super shiny chrome finish. Still nice but not quite as good as the original that I bought in the fall. Now I have 2 sets that do not match 😕

Love the smaller one with handle. Looks nice and sturdy on my counter although disappointed these are not stainless steel. So they need to be hand washed otherwise they will rust
