My experience was good. Yes, these figures are difficult to transform, but that is what videos on line help with. The 1967 Bee was the more finicky for me; he is a really small figure for his class. The 2016 Bee is better, though can be a pain to transform. For a kid? It really depends on their experience with Transformers; perhaps a better pick would be another figure. Collectors? Absolutely, even take this 1967 Bee over the single release, as it has more detail.

These are the worst transformers I’ve ever bought. 20+ steps to get it to transform and the pieces are very delicate. Recommend passing in these

Frustrated Dad - 5 months ago, Verified purchaser
These are incredibly frustrating to transform. The pieces actually don’t seem to fit together properly. After 30 minutes on Christmas morning trying to turn these into the cars for my son, I put them back in the box to be returned the next day.

It looked really cool at first glance, but as soon as we unboxed it, we realized it was not. We took 1 out to play with, but we didn’t even bother taking the 2nd one out. They are very cheaply made. What a disappointment!

Decent set, but be bewarned, as these guys have crap QC
I couldn't find any way to confirm this, but it seems that most of the parts are made of a polystyrene plastic, rather than the usual ones like ABS. Polystyrene is used on model kits but it is pretty brittle. You can definitely feel the difference. Other than that, they're not very pretty.
