I ordered this item and can in damaged. Took back to store to return. Only had one in stock and that one also was a little damaged. However, I did get a 15 % discount. This is not the point I should have not had to buy a damaged product in the first place. Very disappointed. Not a happy customer!

Decent looking cheap can that holds up moderately well. We had one of these for 4 years in our office before it broke due to a lot of usage. If you can afford it, go for Simple Human but if you can't, this is a decent backup.
I don't understand all the bad reviews. These things are tuff!
We purchased two of these about six years ago. We bang them up real good on a daily basis. We use them in the kitchen for garbage and recycling. After six years of abuse, one of the foot pedals came off the bottom of one of the cans. I purchased the identical model as a replacement because of its toughness. I even noticed that they had improved on the foot pedal design so I expect it to last.
I took the can with the broken pedal and put it in the garage because it still works, just have to put the pedal back on once in a while.
Don't spend > $100 on a trash can. Get these, they look good and last.
Some nice aesthetics to this design! However, the plastic can liner is too tall, and every time the step is pressed, it winds up incidentally lifting the whole liner by a small degree. (It's hard for me to believe they would have designed it this way, so maybe it's a production issue with the can liner?) Personally, I think this design would be better if it were about 4 to 6 inches shorter, but I'm sure that depends on the kitchen being furnished. It's tall enough (oversized) that it starts to feel like a feature or focal point, when it's really just a trash can and I don't need it to stand out. Ordered this online, picked up in store, and then unboxed to find the lid was cracked on both sides of the hinge. Returning for a refund.
