1962 was a big year. Modernist design hit its peak and moved into homes across the country. And in Minnesota, Target was born — with the revolutionary idea to celebrate design for all. Project 62 embodies this legacy with a collection of modern pieces made for everyday living.
These are great looking pillowcases, but for a standard size, they're too long. This might resolve itself if they shrink after several washes, but I prefer it when they start and stay roughly the same size.
I was having a difficult time finding black polka dot standard pillowcases to replace the one I owned. They are larger than my standard pillows, but that can be resolved by buying larger sized pillows. I haven't washed them yet so I can't address the issues some people experienced. I hope I don't because they are what I needed to replace what I basically had.
I purchased these in-store, marked down because of discontinued color. I like the color and silky feel of the fabric BUT after washing the fabric became so twisted and out of shape that I could not even FOLD these evenly. I always iron my pillowcases, and it was difficult to even iron these because the fabric was so misshapen after washing. Will not purchase again.
The design looks great (my primary concern as they're not on the pillows I actually lay my head on) and I like the envelope style closure rather than the flapping open standard style as it looks more put together when the bed is made. Weird thing is that the two pillowcases I received in the package, while they look absolutely identical, are made of very different fabrics. One was thin, soft, and floppy, really nice to touch, and the other almost like a very lightweight canvas - much thicker, pricklier, stiffer fabric! Clearly this line has some quality control issues to read the other reviews.
