We picked this up for 50% off on Christmas Eve. The mist didn't work for a whole day - thought it was broken. Read a review that they ran continuosly for 45min before the mist worked. Ran it non-stop for about 20 min (on Christmas) and low-and-behold steam started coming out (took off 2 of the trains to reserve energy). The more you let it run continuosly, the more steam comes out. Good at 50% off (wouldn't pay full price). Also keep in mind: 1) Runs best on really flat surfaces - works good on hardwood floors - instructions say may not run well on carpet; 2) Doesn't work well on the straight tracks - kept stalling on one 2 of the straight track, so took them out; 3) One of the train axles is a little bent, so the train kind of 'chugs' around the track - but moves continuously (maybe why people complained it kept jumping the track). Overall I like the little train (esp after the mist worked); my husband isn't too happy with the quality though

bought this to have a cute train unde the tree but it arrived broken with the piece to hold the Santa with the rest of the train broken and nowhere to be found, now I have a train that doesn't work and 20 something dollars less in bank account.

This fit my North Pole decor perfectly. The steam on mine works, not with the included batteries, had to switch to Duracell brand. The train has a demo mode so be sure to adjust on the main cart for continuous rolling. My kids love it. We haven't had any problems with it coming off the track.

We are on year two of the train - we did store it safely in its box all year. It has survived two 2 year olds and a 3 year old in 2021 and now two 3 year olds and a 4 year old in 2022. Still going strong - we have had to repair a few pieces but toddlers, ya know? A little JB weld and it was back to functioning. The steam is super cute.

I got this train last year and it worked perfectly fine. Unfortunately, this year it won’t turn on at all. I tried changing the batteries and it wouldn’t work. So basically, I bought it for it to only work for one month a year ago.

Looking for a fun train for around our small fake tree. We didn’t use the straight pieces so this set is PERFECT! Yes it’s a bit flimsy but for the price point that’s what I expected. I haven’t found a toy train that doesn’t give us difficulty loading it on the tracks, so that was also expected. Works great for us.
