Q: I just bought this in the store. They are attached by a metal ring that seems impossible to open. How do I separate the cutters?

A: Hi Lassie - Thanks for asking. To detach, first locate the interlocking section of the ring. Then, push each side in opposite directions and it should unlock. We hope this helps and look forward to hearing about the amazing biscuits you've made. - Marcell

The ends opposite the hinge are interlocked and you need to press them in opposite directions to undo it, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I hope you've gotten them apart by now!

It says stainless steel/dishwasher safe, so I put them in the dishwasher, but they came out with rust spots. Had to return them. Too bad.

I do a lot of baking and thought I would add this set of biscuit cutters since the price was reasonable, they had a nice heft to them, and I liked the design of the handles. I had to look through every set in the store to get all three cutters uniformly (or fairly uniformly) round. I have not had a problem with the handles breaking off, but I can see how easily they might. One of my main complaints is the quality of the metal. They cut cleanly enough for the first biscuit or two, but after that the dough sticks to the cutter. Fortunately the top is open and you can poke the biscuit out, but that ultimately results in lopsided biscuits. I'm not sure how much longer I will continue using these.

I love these ! I’ve slowly been adding to my bakeware and these were on my “ want list”. I’ve seen reviews about handles breaking off but these seem pretty study thus far however i personally wouldn’t put excess pressure on handles but instead press on the circular area . If my handles do fall off in the future I’ll just E6000 those buggers back on .

So I got these specifically for plating so the handles are useless to me (Actually in the way). After I picked them up I broke off the handles. I didn't exert much force to do it. Didn't use any tools. Now I can see why all the poor reviews saying it only last for maybe 2-3 uses. It was quite easy to break off and took me less than a minute to do all 3. If you don't care about the handles, they're quite solid. Wouldn't recommend if you intend on using the handles.

These look nice online but they’re cheap and chintzy in person. The metal is thick and poorly welded. They don’t make clean, sharp cuts. The handles are impractical and look like they’ll snap off. I can’t really use them for anything. Too late to return so I’ll probably end up taking them to consignment.
