I ordered filters to fit the copper countertop bucket. The ones that arrived were to big, stuffed them in anyway so they will do for now.

Works pretty well as intended
No noticeable odors escape the compost can, however the filters do not stay in place and often fall down into the containers contents. If unnoticed, they get gross pretty quickly. I had to purchase some industrial strength Velcro to secure them. They also tend to grow mold quickly.

Filters control odors!
With the filter in place no odor can be discerned near the compost pot. When I open my compost container it definitely has an interior odor, but the filter keeps the odor from permeating my kitchen.

Meh: Definitely helps with odor, but also gets moldy
I bought these filters since our composting pail is in a prominent location in our kitchen and I worried about odors. It absolutely helps with smells but due to its porous nature, also grew mold in a way I am not sure the lid of our pail (wood or stainless steel) would. We are keeping the filters and just changing them every month or so as a compromise since they do help with odors but the mold is not my fav.

It really works. I bought extras so I always have one handy.
I use it in my compost crock in my kitchen. Works great! As long as I empty my crock regularly and don't let the contents mold.

The S&H cost more than a package of the filters
The filters are the right size and work well. That's the good part. 3 packages of 2 filters each shipped in a package weighing 2.64 ounces. S&H charge? $10.50 Wha-a-a-t?! That is just too annoying. Think I'll just look for some square ones I can cut into circles.
