Q: I have found what I think is the battery conpartment but don't see how to open it. Also, I don't see an on-off switch. How to pictures would be handy.

A: Hello - Thank you for asking! This spooky Skeleton's on/off switch is at the back of the head. There is an opening at the back of the hood with a Velcro closure. Open the Velcro closure and you will see the battery compartment and on/off switch.

Q: is there a way to make the skeleton more sensitive to sound? It seems to take a very loud noise to activate it.

Q: How do you get this ghoul to react without touching it? I know where the batteries go & where the on/off switch is, but isn't it suppose to start making noise without being touched?

Like other reviews said, this dude is super small. I was planning to hang it from an upstairs balcony, but it's way too tiny for anyone to really see it up there. Pretty bummed, because it's an otherwise cool decoration, but at 40" I expected something closer to the size of a large toddler.

Couldn't find the on/off switch. I had to read the reviews to find it. The hood is glued on so tight that it's practically impossible to find.

I bought this to replace similarly priced items from 2 years ago, and I stupidly presumed that - given the 40" sizing- they would be similar in size. Well they must have one super long piece of material hanging down to reach that 40" mark because this guy is very tiny and it looks like a $9.99 item at best. I purchased these for the doorway and they wouldn't take up enough space to even hang in a window. Sadly, they are being returned. If you want something for a very small space then this might be for you.

It was made very cheap. It would not work properly. I had to return two hide and eek products within two days of each other.

I didn’t realize when buying online that the skull was about half the size of a regular skull. I had planned to use this in a specific spot and having an undersized creature won’t work for that use. I was surprised as I had bought another animatronic skull creature (the rattling chains one) and it has a full sized skull so I just didn’t occur to me this would be smaller. I am debating on if I am going to keep it and find another spot for it or return it or not. It’s pretty good for the price since it does move its jaw and “talk” but again it’s not the size I was expecting.

Campy looking mask in rags, not spooky/scary at all, like many of the hide and eek decorations. Fun if you have little kids, but I prefer creepier things. A little bit smaller than I expected too, but not so much that I'd return it. This probably going to hang in my garage.

A fun Halloween decoration that my kids really got a kick out of. Love that it is voice activated and very animated. It will be perfect to hang right by the doorbell when trick or treaters stop by as a fun surprise.

I have had this skeleton now 2 weeks and I absolutely love it! It has glowing eyes, talks, and moves it’s mouth and body! It’s motion detected and very realistic. It’s durable and takes batteries I highly recommended it

Spooky prop for Halloween. His head rotates 90 degrees and his jaw cackles. Eyes light up in red and a spooky Halloween message is delivered. He would be perfect to hang front a tree or front porch. He is sound activated and requires AAA batteries which are included. Overall great Halloween decoration from Hyde & Eeek! Would recommend for Halloween!
