4ft Artificial Kentia Palm Silk Tree in Pot - Nearly Natural

So easy to set up and looks great! I bought a basket to put it in and it looks great!

I ordered this online. When it arrived, I am not sure what happened, but the very base of the plant is extremely loose. The leaves went to all been to one side, they do not want to fan out. As a result it looks like there is only one leaf on the whole plant. Because they all basically clump together to one side. I tried arranging the leaves, but it feels like if I try to arrange them, they’re going to literally fall off of the “branch”… My guess is this was somehow damaged during shipping, but I’m not sure. I’m curious if those with the positive reviews bought the plant in the store, as opposed to ordering it online. But this was a disaster, unfortunately.

The tree itself is nice, good quality and looks fairy real. The biggest let down is the pot. In the pictures online it looks nicer than it is, and it’s cemented in so you can’t swap it into something new. It looks like the temporary pot you bring plants home from the store in, not a permanent decorative pot.

The plant came with delayed shipping as per usual when I order from target. It is much skinnier and the leaves are much more pointed straight up rather than fanned out. The stems are slightly bendable but haven’t been able to make it look anything like the display image. Also the box came completely ripped open which was annoying but again not to do with the plant.

Came packaged great and exactly what we needed for the price.

What can I say, it's a fake plant, it looks fine in my apartment. My only issue with it is that... lemme 'splain. I bought a cute little plant stand for it with a pot, it looked like the perfect size, but that was just based on eyeballing it - I didn't measure. Crucial mistake. When I got the stand home, the plant pot was about 1/2" too wide for the planter. "No big deal," I thought, "I'll just remove the plant from its pot and insert it into the planter." Gave it a yank, no joy. "Okay, that floral foam is packed in there pretty tight, maybe glued in at the bottom, I'll just cut away the plastic pot with some bolt cutters." Cut about a 2" wide section down the side of the pot to find that the dang thing is CONCRETED into the pot. Since I don't own a jackhammer, I turned the plant so that the unsightly gash I cut into it faces the wall for now, and I'll have to find a slightly larger planter for it. Moral of the story: measure the width of the plastic pot before buying anything to put it into, because that sucker is NOT coming out without heavy machinery. On the upside, it probably won't tip over with the base full of masonry.

I got this on sale and am pretty happy with it at that price as we needed some faux plants since our home is pretty dark and all real ones have died. You do need to bend the branches outwards from how it arrives in the box and some of the leaf tips are still folded over but for the price I am happy and it livened up a boring corner of our room. Only annoyance is the pot it comes in is 6.5" across and 5.25" high so the planter I ordered at the same time didn't fit as both that and the pot measurements are not accurate. If you look closely you can see it's fabric but depending on where you want to place it I think it's an affordable option for a decent sized faux!
