A: NO, it does NOT come with the "fun stock image pictured." None of the Opal House frames come with the stock images shown online. They are generic photographs (people, doors, etc.) that aren't particularly nice to leave in the frame. Not sure why all of the Target Team Member responses for these Opal House frames are completely wrong. They also don't have hooks/brackets on the back for hanging; they are table top frames only, as-is.

Q: what is the frame made out of? both the outside and the inset. the only material mentioned is mdf. is the outside resin and inset wood?

I bought these in the store. I like them, especially compared to other options available that day. I had no issues with the back. Mine have the darker part on the inside row all around. It does the job vertically and on a shelf. They do appear to be somewhat fragile and I thought they were somewhat expensive compared to regular wood, but I am happy with them overall.

I really just wanted it with the photo of the bird in it. And I know that’s not what the frame is for. But don’t buy it for the bird photo bc it will not be in the frame.

I bought 60 of these for work use and some were nice, but many of them were broken or stained yellow! Wasn’t a huge fan of that & the back insert didn’t fit on all of them. I would just be cautious if ordering, should be fine if you’re selecting a frame in store.

Looks ok, but low quality. It looks like it’ll fall apart if you touch it too much. It’s made of particle board with a thin layer of the “scratched bone” glued to it.

I love this frame. I took off a star because it is much darker then one pictured, but I actually like that better. Still, if you wanted exactly as pictured you may be disappointed. When the frame arrived, it was loose in one spot and broken in another however Target did an exchange and sent out a new one that arrived within 2 days and it was in perfect condition! Can’t beat Targets service!

The back was so difficult to remove that I had to force it a little. As a result, the back cracked (not surprising since it’s made of cheap material that is barely thicker than cardboard). I probably would have kept it with the crack, but the back would not sit flush because it was cut too big for the picture opening. All in all, had to return and didn’t bother replacing.

I almost didn't buy this frame because of the reviews, but I'm glad I did. It does have some variation in the color of the surround and it doesn't line up perfectly, but I think that gives it dimension and makes it interesting. I think the double off-white outline highlights a photo nicely. I really like the organic look and that it's nice and heavy. My only qualm and the reason for 4 stars is that it has a little trouble standing horizontally - it wants to tip forward. It works better vertically. I'm using it horizontally, just not in a spot where it might tip forward and break.

The pictures online don’t reflect how it looks in person. I thought it would be more one color with a striped texture but it’s very different colors stuck together (see my picture). It’s also hard to take the back plate off and secure the clasp. Looks and feels very cheap.
