Cannot connect the fan to my WiFi or Alexa. Having issues

For the money I paid, I have higher expectations. I bought the Apache fan because of the Apple HomeKit feature. Overall it doesn’t feel like a finished product, especially at double the price of other great Hunter fans. I recommend one of those other fans and a quality smart switch. Good: -Looks great -Moves a lot of air -4 fan settings -HomeKit enabled!! (sorta) Bad: -It beeps every on/off/adjustment. Loudly! This cannot be disabled. -Light is not dimmable. Pg 16 of the owner’s manual says it is. This is not true. Using the remote/SimpleConnect 2.0/HomeKit all yield the same results. -SimpleConnect 2.0 -No LED temperature/color control. If you want soft/warm light, this isn’t it.

Just use the switch. Looks nice. Terrible connection to home kit. I have a 1 gig connection with a mesh WiFi network.

The fan is stylish and cools down a room better than the loud AC. People compliment how great it looks. The app on the other hand needs help. I can log into hunterfan.com but can't ever log into SimpleConnect. I have two pending updates so I am unable to Siri or the Home app/ I would give it a five-star rating if the app worked. Debated a while about giving this fan a 3-star rating. Oh well, a first-world problem.

Beautiful design, I love the industrial style.... But the main feature wich is the smart connect app doesn't work. Someone is fixing that? Most of the people (including me) is paying almost double of price than a regular fan just because of it, I guess we deserve an answer!

Fan blades do not match online photos - not even remotely. The fan itself does not work until HomeKit is setup. Stupid design. Home automation should be a nice extra, not a hard requirement. Very disappointed and will not buy from Hunter again.

Purchased and installed this fan last week. It was one of the easiest installs I've done. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The quietness of the fan makes it a joy to use. The HomeKit feature was the primary reason to purchase it. Since we always have our iPhones nearby, it's a no-brainer to use them to control devices in our home. I'd easily recommend this to others.

I could never get the app to work! Very frustrating trying to get anywhere with the app especially when you spend so much money for a smart appliance for your home. Once installed due to power outage about 12 hours after install the fan no longer works and needs to be replaced and I even had and electrician look at the fan. On a good note the fan is very nice looking and for the short time it did work it pushed a lot of air.

At first i was slightly intimidated when attempting to install this fan in my livingroom. however, instructions are descriptive enough to get me through the DIY installation. Impressed by the amount of air this fan can move, considering it only has 3 fan blades. Most fans have 4 blades. But this model is just as effecient as the other fans in my house that have 4 blades. This ceiling fan is absolutely gorgeous. It is the perfect mix between tustic and industrial style that I was looking for my home-office. It is so quiet that if it is not for the air flow sensation, It is easy for me to forget it is on, lol. It is very sturdy, easy to put together, and fast to install. The Apache with LED Light 54 inch ceiling fan is an outstanding product. It works well to cover my entire living room. The LED light is very bright and the remote control is an added bonus. Got this Fan about a week ago Lined up Carpenter and electrician to start on remodel will be 6-8 weeks before finished product if all goes well will post finished product after that . Other wise fan is or weighs like 17 pounds so it is well made and looks to be made from good materials I have 3 other Hunter fans thru out my house and love them all Great Fans !!!! The fan in my son's room stopped working and he's into the WiFi and Amazon Alexa so we ordered the Apache with LED Light 54". We've always been "fan" of the Hunter Brand so thought we'd give this a try. Since his room is 12 x 12, we ordered the Large 54 inch which is recommended for up to 20'x20' (the small works best for up to 10x10). There are only 3 blades to this fan and it's the first 3 blade we've ever had so I wasn't sure how well it would work and look but was pleased with the air flow and assembly. PROS: *Installation for the most part was not too difficult to assemble. *The fan works well and provides a nice air flow CONS: *Haven't gotten the app to work *Globe looks a bit like my grandma's fan (not as retro as I had hoped) Had a friend and family member install this and they are pretty good at installing things and tech savy so I was disappointed that between all of us we haven't been able to get the app to work yet. We are impressed by this fan! It was easy to install overall, just make sure you have a very tall ladder. The instructions are very easy to follow and everything you need is in the box. The fan is kinda modern-industrialized looking. It is very unique! Not your regular boring fan. This one makes a statement. The quality is really great. The motor is really really heavy duty. The only plastic part are the blades. We love that we can dim the light and also control the fan from low to high. It also have a reverse mode. The app is very easy to use. We connected ours with our echo dot with no problem. Best thing about this fan is every time I don't turn that light off, I just tell alexa/echo to turn it off and it will do that or I can do it from my phone too. Actually, one time, hubby taught it was funny to turn the lights off and on using the app while he is at work and I was home. It got me scared for a bit! But this fun is soooooo cool! We love it! This fan caught my eye with it's similar appearance to a propeller. After seeing this fan was Alexa capable, I was sold! I had replaced an old ceiling fan with this Hunter Apache ceiling fanand it really has brightened up the living room in such a nice way. I can control the speed of the fan through Alexa voice but cannot control the lights anywhere but inside the Hunter app. It would've been nice for the lights to be controlled through voice as well. I just purchased and installed this ceiling fan, and I'm very happy with it. Installation was simple. The only thing to keep in mind is to connect the smart phone you're using to install SimpleConnect to 2.4 Ghz wifi during setup; you can go back to 5 Ghz after setup is finished. The fan light defaults to non-dimmable, but you change that setting in the SimpleConnect Wifi app. It takes a while for the Apple HomeKit app to synchronize with the SimpleConnect app, but it will, so you can control the dimming of the light via HomeKit. This fan pushes a lot of air for only having 3 blades. It pushes more air than the 5-blade fan it replaced. I highly recommend this fan for people who use, or want to use, Apple HomeKit.
