A: I bought these a month ago and after repeated attempts, have not been able to balance them on my nose. So disappointed! They are however, perfect for washing in the dishwasher from what I've heard.

We can't give advice on recoating this product as that would be changing the original look of the product. I can however advise on cleaning and care instructions, which are as follows: Do Not Use Lemon or Acidic Detergent, Dishwasher safe. I bought these in store thinking it was a set of 4 I don’t know why I should of know. It was to good to be true and don’t get me wrong they felt amazing and looked amazing and seemed like they would was really well HOWEVER my main complaint is real tiny on the back of the box it says it’s only one set we’re online it says it more clearly

I previously bought the small appetizer flatware and had no issues with any of them deapite the reviews, so I finally fecided to buy 4 sets of the 5 piece flatware. I have been following the care instructions and despite that, I started seeing signs of discoloration! 3 of the 4 knives and one of the forks! Ridiculous that they would keep producing this crap.

Ordered these online and really liked the look at first until I noticed the logos. The backside of all the pieces have a logo etched on them, which isn't too bad for the forks and spoons since there is a clear bottom. But the knives have the logo printed on them, which is much more conspicuous than the other pieces and more likely to show since there is less of a "front and back" on knives than on the other pieces. Will be returning.

First off, these are pricey at one serving set for this price. Most people would need at least 4 sets of this. Second, these are already scratched some where I can see the silver underneath and I literally just got them. I'm sad because I wanted these so long. I'm not sure if maybe they got dented in shipping, but if they can't handle shipping, I doubt they would last through use.

we bought these about 8months ago. We do not soak or scrub harshly. However, we do put them in the dishwasher. Now, when I use the silverware the black comes off on my hand. That can't be good for putting in your mouth. Now, I have 10 sets of this that I am going to have to throw away. These are not made to last. I feel like I got ripped off. I'm sad that Chip and Joanna are part of this. I love their brand.

Discoloring is typically a sign of detergent not fully removed when washing the product which ultimately leads to pitting. Citric and abrasive cleaning agents will also damage the flatware. For convenience - here are some tips to keep in mind when caring for our fashion forward finishes: Although dishwasher safe, the ideal method for washing any flatware is by hand to avoid. -Wash your flatware as soon as possible after use. Some foods can promote staining/corrosion. -Avoid soaking stainless flatware in water for an extended period of time. -Avoid air drying if possible. Using a soft cloth to dry is beneficial. -Do not wash your stainless flatware with any abrasive or acidic cleaning agents and do not soak flatware overnight. -Do not use steel wool pads or detergent/polish compounds that scratch stainless steel or the coating. -Knives are especially vulnerable as the scratch surface becomes more sensitive to rusting.

I absolutely love this silverware. I’ve had it since July. BUT….. one of my knives is turning and has some kind of funky design on it now. After reading reviews, I do not let it sit in water of course in the sink, although I do put it in dishwasher. I’m not going to have silverware I can’t run in the dishwasher. None of the other silverware is doing this as of yet! Also, One knife inside the cutting part also is rusty. It’s just the knives doing this all of a sudden.

This set is disappointing. I bought the black flatware along with the stoneware dinner plates and after one dinner my stoneware is now scratched from the black utensils. My other flatware does not scratch the stoneware so I’m thinking it must be the black flatware. Would not recommend

The shape and style of these are great. However, after having them and using for a few months the black finish is already wearing slightly, and they get water spots very easily.

These look and feel great until the black starts chipping/scratching off. After about a week of normal use and dishwasher cleaning, they look terrible.
