I had a set of gold silverware from target I loved but wanted more. They no longer make it. I got this and it looks just terrible. So scratched and old looking.

This flatware set is stainless steel and is designed to maintain the finish for years to come however, there are a few specific care needs that we want to share below for preserving all fine flatware and cutlery for years to come. Discoloring is typically a sign of detergent not fully removed when washing the product, which ultimately leads to pitting. Citric and abrasive cleaning agents will also damage the flatware. -Wash your flatware as soon as possible after use. Some foods can promote staining/corrosion. -Avoid soaking stainless flatware in water for an extended period. -Avoid air drying if possible. Using a soft cloth to dry is beneficial. -Do not use steel wool pads or detergent/polish compounds that scratch stainless steel or the coating. -Knives are especially vulnerable as the surface becomes more sensitive to rusting. Bummer. Not as pictured. They look like they’ve been put through the dishwasher 10,000 times… so worn and scratched that the woman working the returns at Target questioned me how long I’d had them and if they had been used. Sadly, I showed her my order was delivered the day before.

these are meant to look a little used/scratched. i’m not sure if they’re worth the price paid as i’ve only had them one (1) week. threshold has another gold set that comes in a set of four (4), so i’m not sure if there is a quality difference there or if the studio mcgee name was the reason to hike up the price. also, they state they’re dishwasher friendly, but they recommend hand-washing :/

I ordered two sets thinking each set was 20 pieces to have a big set, which I thought was a great deal for $20. I bought other studio McGee items that were very competitively priced, so I didn’t think twice or read very carefully the description of these. It’s really only 5 pieces, service for one. This is a nice set, a step up from my cheap ikea flatware, but $20 for just one set? They feel pretty light and possibly bendable, which is not worth the price. I like the rustic gold look, but they just feel a bit cheap
