Bought this to use more for utility storage and needed something nicer than the wire or plastic shelves. Altogether I like it. Assembly was a bit labor-intensive, but anyone can put it together. I like the look, and feels solid without the wall strap. I do wish the depth could've been slightly longer, like perhaps 12 - 14" deep would've been better. I would buy this again for the price. The boards are not real wood, but they feel heavy and sturdy enough to the naked eye, and most guests should be convinced. A note: the screws all came with a dab of dried up locktite on the threads. Dried. I suggest applying fresh locktite on all the threads to assure a good tight hold.
