Q: Specifications indicate "AA Nickel Metal Hydride" required. Googling, I found that these are rechargeable batteries. Product comes with the batteries, does it not come with recharging station?

A: Hello M - Thanks for reaching out for clarification. These Solar Pathway lights are complete with a solar-powered construction for renewable energy. There is a solar panel on the top of each bollard to recharge the batteries when placed in direct sunlight. No additional charger is needed. I bought these in May of 2022. At first they worked great. The felt and looked a little cheep but from a distance you really couldn't tell. By Oct of 2022 they basically stopped working. There is just a very dim light for about an hour or two after it gets dark and then they are dead. One doesn't even light up at all. I have had cheaper lights at least last for a few years.

These come with a battery as well as the solar panel. They are just plastic but have held up very well in an area that has seen daily rainfall and high temps for about 2 months straight. They were simple to assemble and we’ve gotten compliments from the neighbors on how they look. We put 6 in the front and 6 in the back. All are working well!

Very modern design and the price is great. The entire fixture is plastic so I wouldn’t use them close to the driveway in case a vehicle gets too close. But otherwise, they look great and cast a halo of light on the ground.

Love the design, but aren’t they to also light up? The only way they light is if I put my hand over them.. they have full sun! Sad, but I will return. I saw where the lady sad to charge or recharge the battery? Isn’t that what the sun does? I wanted something not complicated!

I bought 12 of these in store and checked the reviews first. I saw some people saying they only last for a few mos. I have had this same experience with other target solar lights, but the trick is to take out the rechargeable battery and recharge it, or replace it with a new fully charged rechargeable battery. They have to be rechargeable so the sun can charge them. Think of them as car batteries, which charge every time you drive your car; the sun is your car. You still have to replace (or recharge) the battery in your car every few years. This is the exact same concept. So when they “go out” in a few mos, don’t give up on them!

I bought these late summer and although they felt cheaper than expected when they arrived they were so pretty and you couldn’t tell the quality of you didn’t touch them. A couple months later they wouldn’t be as bright in the evening and now they only give a dim light 30 minutes after sunset and then turn completely off. Don’t waste your money.
