My main issue with this shelf is during the assembly process. They have you insert and glue wooden dowels in many of the pieces as the first step. As you assemble these pieces the dowels can punch through too far and create cracks, but since they are glued they are not easily hammered in further to prevent this from happening. The directions aren’t clear about how far to hammer in the dowels in the first place, so just make sure you’re hammering them in more than half way if you don’t want to ruin your shelves with holes and cracks.
