The phone is not smooth on the back or edges to make it look like Elmo's fur. I am worried about all of the creases which will harbor more germs and sticky messes. The buttons are easy to press but I do wish the on/off button was located on the side and could be more hidden from my child. I prefer to be able to turn the volume down or completely off and not have a toddler turn it back on again with just an easy press.

Children love to imitate their parents on the phone all the time, this is a healthy choice... and they will learn while they play. 100% recommended

Each number has a character on it and when pressed they will tell jokes or talk about numbers, colors, etc. It is a great educational toy which makes learning fun and is the perfect size to pack up and take along when we go out. It requires three AG13 button-cell batteries which were included.

Her birthday falls right before christmas so I figured this was a nice little precursor to the gift fiesta of Xmas. It fits in her 4 yr old palm quite well, and at least a dozen voice prompts between the keys.
