Book Synopsis

Jesus Never Canceled Anyone
- 40 readings to help you better understand Jesus's act of washing his disciples' feet as a model for loving and serving both friends and enemies
- A radical and loving alternative to today's cancel culture
- Beautifully designed book is a perfect Lenten read or Bible study

On the last night of Jesus's life, He picked up a towel and washed His disciples' feet--people who would soon betray, deny, and abandon Him--giving an example of what it really means to love and forgive like the King. He clothed Himself in humility, providing for us a picture of what it really means to follow Him.

This book is an invitation to sit on the footwashing stool and let Jesus heal you, then kneel with the King and learn how to wash the feet of your friends and enemies. We need this picture--and this posture--more than ever. All around us are disappointed, disillusioned, and wounded people, covered with the grime of ambition, jealousy, self-protection, church hurt, broken relationships, and world-weary hearts. Jesus calls us to kneel before them, whether they are friend or foe, to perform acts of love, mercy, and healing.

Through her compelling writing and viral artwork, Jessica Claire Bond unpacks what it means to "wash feet" in this generation. She reveals the profound meaning behind this timeless message of serving and loving others, challenging us to reconsider the overlooked, shunned, and marginalized in order to model the humility and love of our King. Ultimately, whoever is on the seat, He's the one washing the feet.

I bought and it is a must read for the Easter season or anytime. It brings you to a deeper relationship to Jesus. It will also make you stop and reflect about yourself. It is a perfect example that the ones that they think they are unworthy but in Jesus eyes they are worth to get their feet washed. The art work it worth it and beautiful and tells a story itself.

Jesus is for everyone!

This book is for everyone. It absolutely changed my perspective on a lot of things. You are not your past. You are not your sin. You are the child of God. You are loved and Jesus loves you. What a phenomenal portrayal of Jesus! Humbling and enlightening. This book actually made me think quite a bit on how I live my day to day life as a Christian.

“A King Washes Feet” is both beautiful and empowering. It’s an amazing book full of art (scrim the same series of prints I have personally purchased for the author for myself and as gifts over the years), honest and personal background stories of the inspiration behind the art, and incredible devotionals with each piece of art that depict the love of Jesus in so many forms. This book is for everyone including new believers, believers who need a fresh wind, those on the fence about becoming a believer, and even those who feel impossibly far from God. I’ve read my Bible cover to cover and I’ve read many devotionals, but this book gave me so many new perspectives and moments to challenge and strengthen my relationship with Jesus. The Healing Trauma and the Forgiving Your Patents chapters alone were worth the price of the book. “A King Washes Feet” is an absolute blessing of a read and a true testament to Jessica Claire Bond’s calling.

This book is not about picking which side or the correct church teaching of one’s domination. This book is about serving all demographics. This book is not about pointing fingers but of getting down on our knees to wash the ones who deserve it the least. This book teaches each of us to love first. I am forever grateful for this book and the reminders of the importance of living out the characteristics of Jesus.

The heart of Jesus

I just finished A King Washes Feet, and I have loved every chapter! Jess has such an intimate understanding of scripture, and presents profound ideas in such a simple way. The love of Jesus is so simple and yet we tend to complicate it. Jess draws the reader back to the fact that Jesus loves ALL people, no matter what. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know who Jesus is, those who desire a loving reminder of the depth of Jesus’ love and acceptance, and those who have been Jesus lovers for longer than they can remember.
