  • A: This is what is considered 100% acetone. The Denatonium Benzoate is added because we unfortunately live in a world where it's not enough to put "do not drink" on a bottle of acetone. The DB is added to make it unpalatable so someone won't drink it and poison themselves (acetone by itself has no taste). It's added for a similar reason to adding an odorant to natural gas.

    This came to me used. The label was destroyed, someone had taped the lid back to the bottle to keep it from leaking which it didn’t. And then when I tried to return it, I discovered it wasn’t a returnable item, which is odd considering the bottle I received had clearly been returned and used. So I’m out the money.
