Because of the formulation adjustment, the serum is now a clear color rather than the previous milky, opaque color. I used this for the first time and it caused my face to turn red in the area that I applied it to. I only needed this as a spot treatment in one problem area for brightening. I did a patch test twice and still had a bad reaction. I researched vitamin c prior to chosing this one and it was a fail (for me). It may work for someone else but on my beautiful melanated skin, I'll pass!

I like to seal this in with Acure's "The Essentials Argan Oil" as my moisturizer on top. This product has a watery/slippery texture and gives me a dewey look. I've been using this as my day serum and the "Brightening Vitamin C Sunset Serum" as my night serum. I've been using these products for about three weeks and was hoping it would take care of some dark spots I have from the sun and from waxing/tweezing, but I haven't noticed a big difference there yet but it's only been three weeks.
I wish Acure would make more brightening products that are free from Chamomile ingredients. Chamomile is related to ragweed, and about 15% of Americans have a ragweed allergy. I had to read through the entire ingredient list of all of Acure's brightening products and was happy to at least find something without Chamomile, but I'd like more variety in options. I would try so many of the other brightening products but won't be purchasing them as long as Chamomile is in them.

As a nail tech and make up artist with over a decade of experience I consider myself to be very experienced with face serums. I’ve tried more than I can count and I’ve even made a few. this one does the job but I can’t really say that it’s anything too specialff. What I liked about it: the cute box and pump bottle it came in. The light fragrance-some serums kind of overdo it with the scent. The fact that it doesn’t feel tacky on the skin and absorbs relatively quick. It also didn’t break me out which is a win! I would recommend this serum to someone that’s just getting into skincare and wants their skin to feel good. What I didn’t like is that I can’t say I’ve noticed too much of a difference as far as the brightening effects go but it’s also only been a week and most skincare products take longer than that to show any significant results. Overall this product didn’t wow me but it is a quality serum

As a nine year verified beauty expert, vitamin C and ferulic acid are the gold standard for brightening the skin. This combo has been the mainstay for most of us, and there doesn't appear to be a downside to it, as it had continued to dominate in the marketplace. However, the these ingredients need to be carefully balanced in the right serum, at the appropriate pH to be truly effective. This is a clear serum, with a bottle not exposed to light, to allow for oxification and it goes on clear and quickly disappears into the skin. With continued use, along with a generous serving of daily SPF, you start to see, .brightening of the skin. There is a fading of dark spots, over time, and the skin is firmer. The vitamin C does wonders for the skin's elasticity.

When I used to work at a cosmetic clinic, we use skin ceuticals skincare products. From there, I found my favorite skincare product from them which is the C E Ferulic acid serum. But their price is very high. Then I started looking for cheaper options like Timeless skincare. Their vitamin C + E ferulic acid serum is decent but the price is really good. I found this Acure brightening vitamin C & ferulic serum is similar to Timeless serum. It is a lighter texture and it absorbs well. And Acure serum's price is really good as well. If you have a budget, this is a great serum. The instruction says using day & night. I would recommend using serums that have vitamin C in the daytime or nighttime, like once a day only. And don't forget to use SPF after applying vitamin C serums, or your skin might be irritated by the sun exposure afterwards. Overall, it is a great serum for the price. My skin feels glowing and smooth after using it. I would recommend this product!

This plain white bottle with a yellow and white box is deceiving at first. I was a little put off by its vitamin-like scent. But what I noticed very soon after applying, is how fast it disappears once applied to the skin. As a Medical Aestherician and Makeup Artist, this signifies a true cosmeceautical. Cosmeceauticals work at a cellular level, which is precicely what you would want from a serum and why I gave the product more of a chance beyond the scent. To my pleasant surprise, the serum is lightweight, not sticky, and it really works! It has helped lighten my freckles and brighten my overall skintone. I am usually a little sensitive to Vitamin C products, but from day one this serum was comfortable and very effective. With zero irritation, I'm impressed and recommend it for all skin types. The Brightening Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid Serum from Acure is a very budget friendly serum choice. This serum works well for my combination skin. It doesn't clog my pores and doesn't dry out my problematic dry areas of my skin. This is a clear serum that feels very silky, something comparable a snail mucin. It absorbs really well without leaving any residue or product sitting on my skin. This serum is unscented. The natural ingredients in this serum don't make for the best scent overall. I feel like what I am smelling might be the ferulic acid which doesn't bother me greatly, but also doesn't appeal to my senses. Overall, I give this serum a thumbs up because it is budget friendly, easily accessible and it can work for a variety of skin types.

The brightening ACURE Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid Serum is great when combined with the ACURE cleanser and scrub, and after applying your toner. I personally felt my skin nurture and hydrated. I apply this product at night and in the morning my skin is brighter and rejuvenated. My fine lines I barely noticeable with ACURE products despite of not being marketed as anti-aging products. However, vitamin C is often use to reduce wrinkles and feluric acid is great at reducing redness which I often have due to rosasea. In the morning, during my Zumba class my skin redness is often 10 times worse because of my body's temperature and increase of blood flow. With ACURE my facial redness decrease to a 60% less while using this product overnight. And the results were only after a week of use. Potentially if I continue using this product on a regular basis my skin may receive even better improvements. Totally recommended for rosasea and for fine lines.

I love everything from skincare, to hair care, makeup, and everything inbetween!One of my favorite parts of skincare is serum. I find it to make the biggest difference on my skin, and I can tell immediately if I like, or dislike one. This one immediately was a yes for me. I loved how soft it left my skin, and how bright it looked. I have naturally very red skin and I found it to make my complexion more even. It didn't break me out, burn my skin, or pull up and leave a weird film on my face. Under makeup, and before bed this was perfect. It worked extremely well alongside their cleanser and exfoliator. I loved trying these products and incorporating them into my routine.

Ferulic acid protects skin from the discoloration that comes from sun exposure. Ferulic acid is a chemical found naturally in a lot of plants, it's a powerful antioxidant that can prevent cell damage and slow aging. The consistency is watery, it absorbs quickly, and there is no pill. This clear serum is a treatment for skin before moisturizing. Vitamin C helps with fading discoloration, hyper-pigmentation, making the skin look more glowing and improving texture. This is a very good serum, it is a white thin texture and it brightens the skin. The main ingredients consist of aloe leaf juice, pineapple fruit extract, camellia leaf extract, papaya fruit extract, and glycerin. I am enjoying the results of my face looking brighter with every use, I am enjoying the instant glow in my morning routines.
