submitted byJB - 7 years agoA: I'm in my 40's with oily skin & have used gritty face scrubs almost every day since I was 15. So far, this my absolute favorite, but it's a deep green that smells like the ocean & oak moss, which may not be everyone's idea of a good time! It's definitely worth a try & especially good to use in the shower so it's not messy. If your skin isn't up to scrubs, you'd be fine using it just once or twice a week.

submitted byjo - 7 years agoA: I use it every other day in the shower. The first time, I used a lot and my face hurt a little afterwards so I started using less and it didn't hurt again. I would suggest starting off using it twice a week at first and then every other day after that. And only a little bit is needed! I like to use it in the shower because it is easier to rinse off my face. I am on like my 3rd tube of this. It is awesome!

A: It's pretty gritty, so just use it with a light hand. If you have sensitivities, definitely patch test it first on a small part of your face.

Q: Is this good for acne prone skin? Which products are? I have really horrible acne on my chin and forehead and I was looking for something to help clear it up (along with other products I use)

The his is such a great exfoliating cleanser! It has enough grit to get your face feeling really clean without it being painful and scrubbing too hard. I have sensitive skin and it does not break me out at all. I will say it is not unscented like the description says. It has an earthy, herbal scent that I luckily find very pleasant.

I absolutely love this facial scrub! It feels like I'm at a spa when I use it. It's highly exfoliating. If you're looking your a true "scrub" that works well- this is it! My face feels SO fresh and clean after using it. I also think the smell is very relaxing and spa-like. The green color of the product was a little surprising when I first used this scrub, but it doesn't stain anything or cause any problems. Love it!

I used to love this stuff, I only got to use up two whole bottles before the formula changed. It’s completely different now and burns my face. Before I would’ve recommended to everyone but not so much anymore. :( I loved the natural smell of the product and the green tea smell, it was very relaxing but it seems more “chemical” now imo.

My entire family has used this for years! And we absolutely loved it! I ordered another tube and immediately knew ingredients were changed without even comparing the ingredients to my old tube! All the amazing rave reviews were from the previous product. You have less green clay and it doesn't soothe like it did. Please bring back the original product!

glad to see others agree that the formula has changed. i used this product for years and it was always my go to face scrub. repurchased it last month after not using it for awhile and noticed it’s a lot more abrasive now so it’s not as gentle of a scrub as it used to be. i’ve noticed i’ve had to be very delicate while applying it to my face. have walnut shells always been in this product?? other than that still a great scrub
