This swaddle is everything I was looking for. Keeps baby very snug, but the fabric makes it breathable so I don't feel like baby gets too warm. The two way zipper for diaper changes so much easier, especially at night when my mommy brain is tired and on full mode.
Our newborn sleeps so soundly in this swaddle. The fabric is great - not too heavy, so don't need to worry about baby over-heating in the summer weather. The zipper makes for super easy diaper changes and on/off during late night feedings - definitely a win for everyone!
I wish we had found this swaddle earlier - we received it right when our baby was reaching the top of the weight range, but amazingly it still fit him. Our little guy is on the long side, and he grew out of his Halo swaddle sacks well before he was past the stated weight range; in comparison, this Aden & Anais swaddle is almost an inch longer than one of our Halo newborn swaddles, and stretches a little more easily. Great if you have a baby who is more tall and skinny! We also appreciate how lightweight this swaddle is. It's an excellent summer sleep option.
If I had one caveat, the caps on the arms are just as stretchy as the rest of the swaddle material and just a pull down flap, so if you have a tiny Houdini they probably will be able to break out and get their arms loose. Although I've read that when they start breaking out like that you should let them, our boy sometimes scratches his face in the night, so I wish it was a little more secure.
My favorite part though is the 2-way zipper. All swaddles should have this feature - being able to unzip from the bottom, and not having to line up zipper pieces in the dark - makes nighttime changes a thousand times easier. It's amazing to find this design on such an affordable swaddle. And the prints are so cute!
