Grow up to 24 of your favorite herbs, veggies or flowers all year long - no sun, soil or green thumb required! The AeroGarden Farm Plus is a fully contained in-home garden system, automatically delivering everything your plants need to thrive. Manage your plant's needs and control the two independent grow lights from the app, your Amazon Echo device, or the touchscreen control panel to grow 24" tall veggies right next to herbs and lettuces only a few inches high. You can have delicious, fresh produce at your fingertips no matter what the weather is doing outside.
I bought this recently to move the tomatoes from my Harvest, where they have been growing wonderfully. Basically I'm thrilled with Aerogarden, everything is growning and working as promised EXCEPT the trellis on the Farm Plus, which is among the worst designed things I've seen. The lengthwise cords attach with magnets to the end bars, and the crosspieces clip over those from back to front. In theory. In practice, as soon as the crosswires are attached at least one of the end magnets pops off. In fact, anything that puts any tension on the lengthwise cords will cause the magnets to pop off. The third time I tried one of the end wires came out of the magnet clip. I can't imagine what it would do if it actually had to hold up a plant.
I bought this second hand in a thrift store. I am not sure of the value for purchasing one new, but it is a great product. I am growing full sized tomatoes in one side and have grown Bok choy and various lettuces in the other. The alerts reminding me to add water and food are very useful. The app doesn't want to work for raising and lowering the lights, but that could well be because of my network set up, the lights don't need adjusting too often so that isn't an issue. We also have a Sprout and a Harvest 360 and they all have advantages and disadvantages over the other models, this one is probably my favourite, but the one potential concern is the size.
I bought the Farm and the Farm Plus. Very hard to assemble. Electronics did not work so it constantly showed that I was low on water. No matter what I hit on the control pad, it took me someplace else on the Farm Plus. Impossible to clean under so very messy. In all fairness to AeroGarden, they did say I could send it back for a refund but after getting it set up, and one of the units pad actually working, I kept it. I gave my older 4 AeroGardens away being so excited about these. One of the biggest mistakes of my life. I should have sent it back. Horrible design from set up to function.
I love it. It's been two weeks and all but about 4 plants have begun sprouting. Today I trimmed my tomatoes for the first time and it hurt to cut away the extra plants but I will enjoy the bounty down the road. I grew up on a farm in Ohio and had a small garden here in Texas but this is hands down the easiest way to grow fresh food. This Farm Plus, plus my original Harvest and newer Bounty, will truly be a life-changing improvement.
Love that it tells me when to water and feed them.....only wish there was more room both in the basin and the available grow room. It is advertised as (24 and 36 inches for the farm plus and farm xl) but those numbers aren't accurate, even though it claims that as the grow height, that is the height of the whole contraption, the grow height is considerably less as quite a bit is consumed by the basin and light good. So... great functionality but false advertising.
