Maybe I used too much on my first application. I used it over the Lemon Grass leave-in. My hair felt very dry. Hmmm...
I'll try it again using a little less product the next time. Overall, I had good definition and it lasted for a good 3-4 days. I would recommend this product.
I used the Creme Brulee w/ the Lemongrass Leave-in for a wash & go. First of all, it smells amazing while you're applying it. The scent faded as my hair dried. It left a soft hold. No cast to scrunch out. I got two days out of it, might have lasted another day or two w/ some refreshing. I loved it, would definitely purchase again. My curls are 3b/3c
This product is definitely not for wavy hair girls. I just started my curly hair journey about a month ago and used this for almost 2 weeks, but I am not impressed with what it did to my curls. I used it with the Alikay coconut milk shampoo & conditioner along with the lemongrass leave in conditioner, and I have not noticed any really great improvement. After 2 times of using only the Alikay products, I caved in and added in my Marc Anthony curl cream and Shea Moisture curl conditioner, then noticed my curls formed and looked like curls again. The pro was that it smells great, sweet (unlike the lemon grass leave-in scent, which is STRONG!! seriously, it smells like i put Lysol in my hair). I would not repurchase this again for my hair type, but I'm going to continue to use it to see if it eventually helps in my curly hair journey. I just had better luck right off the bat with other products, which is why I give this a 2 star review :(
I'm Black with 3b hair. I had been using EcoStyler (the one with argan oil) and it work, but the issue i had was if i used too much i'd just have crispy crunchy hair. too little and the Southern humidity in NC, i just had a fluff ball. I have gone thru sooo many products. Miss Jessie's, Jane Carter, Camille Rose, DevaCurl, Carol's Daughters, Mixed Chicks... THIS product is the only one that works PERFECTLY. in fact it seems to tighten my curl pattern, as when left to air dry with no product the curls are looser. NO FRIZZ. i also bought the Curl Refresher. Which works but it is thick, so i mix it with a bit of water before applying to my hair. I have thin hair but this product doesnt make my hair look heavy or greasy if that makes sense. I'm SO happy that i gave this a shot. i will def be trying the conditioning treatments. Dont let the smell throw you off. in the contianer it is a strong fruity smell but it's not overpowering at all in your hair...
