It’s one of my favorite products to use even from my daughter she’s two years old

This smells so good I can still smell the product AFTER I’ve styled my hair a day later but that it’s! The stars are for the smell and nothing else because that all I got with this product. I use this line frequently and I love everything else but this is the 1st time I tried the deep conditioner and this is not for me! My hair felt like I had washed it and stripped all the oil after I rinsed this off. I’m not reading the other reviews and I see the people saying they like have 4c hair where mine is more 3b/c so maybe that’s why it’s not for me. I also used almost all of the jar on my hair. It’s very watery. I will continue to use the other products in the line but this one was a disappointment for me

This Is My All Time Favorite Deep Conditioner. Hands Down. I Have Type 4c Hair. My Hair Be Sooo Soft And Manageable. The Slip Is Awesome. And I Really Do Like The Smell.

Has a light sweet scent and the texture is similar to a creamy lotion. Not too thick or thin. Minimal slip and I applied it to wet hair. Used ny hooded dryer for 20 minutes. I could feel tiny particles mixed into the product. I was concerned it would be stuck in my hair. However, nothing was left in my hair upon rinsing. My hair was VERY soft and moisturized. 1st product I have ever used from this brand.

This smells so good. My hair smelled like chocolate all night. After moving to California my hair has been so dry, this added much needed moisture and and gydrated my haur well. My hair is still smelling good and is soft. My only complaint is the size. Im going to need a big jar of this.

This product is made from a small black woman owned business who values using natural products. I think because of this the products can be expensive. Since I have bought and loved other products (Lemongrass leave in conditioner and Shea Yogurt Hair Moisturizer) from this company I wanted to try their deep conditioner as I’ve been looking for an intensive deep conditioner to moisturize my thickly dense, coily, possibly high porosity hair since it loses moisture quickly. When I first used this product I sat under a steamer for about 20 minutes, sectioned my hair, and drenched each strand with the product. I felt it soften my hair and gave me the moisture I required but I utilized half the jar. I used it again and even though it did soften and moisturize my hair it was not as magical (2nd time I did not section or drench but 3rd-5th time I sectioned and used moderately as well as all times sat under a steamer). I think the first time experience was me wanting to love this product so much and also me taking my time to ensure it works. It does have a strong smell that people may not like but it also STAINS (like most Alikay Naturals products since they are natural). It stains my hair towels and surrounding area when I comb/detangle my hair. It does have good slip but for me a little too watery as I’d like something just a little thicker. It is also hard to wash out (especially when I have my hair breaded or twisted after detangling with the deep conditioner) and I do find myself having to come back and wash out my hair again. I have gone through two jars with 4-5 deep conditioning sessions and am looking for something more moisturizing, thicker, less strong smell, and not staining. If I can not find another deep conditioner I will come back to this product as it is a good conditioner.

I really like this product. It’s a good deep conditioner, but there are better ones. That doesn’t mean to not try it! I recommend this product, it did a good job at moisturizing my hair pretty well. Please, whoever reading this, don’t listen to other people that say, “if you don’t have this hair type, don’t waste your money.” It’s not about hair types 3b, 3a, 4a, 4b, etc. it’s about your hair porosity, density, and most importantly, YOU KNOWING YOUR HAIR. You know your hair better than anyone else, so don’t let some negative reviews (when it comes to hair types) stop you from trying a product. Hair types don’t dictate what it’ll do to your hair. I found someone say that their “3C hair hates” a certain product, and my 3C hair loved it! It’s not about the hair type. And that’s what causes people to miss trying out a product that could be good for them.

I love this conditioner. The consistency is a bit thin, but my hair loves it.

My hair drinks this stuff up. I have wavy/curly medium porosity hair. My scalp is really picky with what it likes and will itch like crazy if I use something wrong, but so far this conditioner seems to be getting along well with my picky skin. I love that the first ingredient is aloe, and not water. It makes me feel like I'm getting a product packed full of good stuff, rather than filler. My one complaint is the smell isn't my favorite, but it's not terrible. It also has no glycerin which I love.
