Q: I purchased an eyeliner with a description that CLEARY reads it comes with a built-in sharpener. One Target Consult replies the eyeliner is self-sharpening, another suggests using the built-in sharpener. Which is it? I wish I could return it

  • A: To sharpen it, wrench off the other end (white). Then cram a Q-tip into the tube to push out more of the pencil, so it's no longer a nub. Then use a pencil sharpener. Good luck!

  • A: This is a great product, however not designed well! The gel tip is very soft. When you use a cosmetic sharpener it breaks off easily. Unfortunately, best to yank on white end and push up with a Q-tip.

  • A: Moisten a Qtip with eyemake up remover, of better yet, baby mineral oil. Use it to clean the inside of your pencil sharpener, It will coat the inside of the sharpener for a perfectly sharpened pencil.

Q: People keep asking this, and the response provided is not an answer. How do you get the product out of the pen? There is no option to twist it. It doesn't twist.

  • A: Use a cosmetic pencil sharpener. Coat the inside of the sharpener with a Qtip moistened with mineral oil or makeup remover. The pecil will get a sharper point that way even when the product is soft.

Q: When I purchased this item in the past I was able to extend it by turning the bottom so it lasted a long time. This one does not have ability to extend so only lasts a few weeks. Why was it changed?

    Makes me feel like a pro

    Easy to used

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the color pure plum. It's really to dark to do a pop of color look I have been trying to create. It is really good as a substitute for black liner. It's not as harsh and I do like wearing purples on my eyes. I've try multiple looks and a diffuse cat eye is what I like best. Unfortunately when I put it on in my waterline, it didn't stay.

    Literally pointless. It keeps breaking off.

I sharpened the pencil but the tip kept breaking off before I could sharpen the point enough to use it. If I had paid for this product, I’d be mad about the amount of product wasted with the tip continuing to break off. Can’t speak to wearability because I couldn’t get it sharpened to a nice point to use it.

I really enjoyed reviewing this eyeliner! The color is beautiful and vibrant. It goes on like a dream; smooth, easy, consistently, and GORGEOUS! It has a creamy feel going on. I was in full control of placement (IYKYK). I have extremely hooded eyes (really mono lids on most days) and this did not crease or transfer, it stayed right where I placed it. No flaking, no fading, just beautiful color where I placed it! This is my new favorite eyeliner!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I really like this gel eyeliner. It’s easy to apply, glides on smoothly and helps create whatever look you are going for. The gel makes it go on much easier than a typical pencil and it really does last all day. The color is vibrant and flattering. Logistically, I wish it would have a twist bottom instead of having to use a sharpener. Would result in a more even finish and less loss of product due to breakage. You do need to use quite a bit of eye remover cleaner to get it off…but if you’re looking for water proof that’s a positive.

I really like this eyeliner it just glides on my waterline, the only complain that I have is that it isn’t waterproof therefore it doesn’t really last long on my waterline but I don’t mind reapplying every so often since it has such a smooth application it help pop out my eye color

    Maybe not for contact wearers

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All Day No Play, If you're looking for an all-day eyeliner that's A great value. Then you have to try Alamay's all day intensive gel eyeliner. Not only does it go on smoothly it doesn't transfer. It shows up great on my skin tone and was super easy to remove. I would definitely recommend getting some of their fun colors and expanding your horizons beyond the traditional black cat eye.
