A:Â Hi Bree - The RockBox XL it not meant solely to be in the water 100% of the time. It is waterproof incase you had a pool party and the speaker got splashed or you wanted the speaker to float in the pool or in the lake for a few minutes!

So where to start….. Altec Lansing is terrible! I bought a HydraJolt a week ago for work and even fully charged it wouldn’t stop disconnecting from bluetooth and kept turning itself off if you go anything over 50% volume. I returned it yesterday and got the ROCKBOX XL and it sounded great but disconnected after about 20 seconds into the first song and hasn’t reconnected to the bluetooth yet! Fully charged it for the 4-5hrs like it says and nothing. The power button just flashes red once when I plug it up and nothing it just completely stopped charging. I’ve only owned this speaker for about 12 hours and the whole time it’s been plugged up and doesn’t work whatsoever! I wouldn’t recommend this BRAND to anyone! To say the least it’s trash and a waste of time and money!!!

I bought this for my teenage daughter's birthday celebration! I was sold after reading the comments! It has completely exceeded my expectations! This speaker is amazing loud and even better with some high-quality bass. It syncs perfectly with our Samsung phone. The battery life is great, we can use it for the whole weekend on a full charge! It has a wide range of uses and can be placed by the pool without worrying about being damaged by the water. The colored lights also add a lot of fun to the party! Very much worth investing! workmanship is sturdy and durable. It is also packed in a beautiful box, so it will be a good gift. I plan to buy a birthday present for my nephew. Considering the energy it emits, it is also very compact, and its stylish and modern design adds a wonderful touch to our outdoor living room.

the sound on my projector is awful and i can barely make out any of the words. I got this new awesome speaker to hear things more clearly in movies and games. I purchased a separate auxiliary cord to be able to connect it and it works so amazing!! When I am not using it on my projector, I use it for a dance party in my basement. I connect it to the bluetooth on my phone, which can also be connected by NFC on the Altec symbol on the end. I love the party lights, everything about this speaker is just amazing. My kids love it!! We need to be able to have fun when stuck indoors. The sound is amazing on this speaker! I can't wait to take it on the pontoon with us! I don't have to worry if it falls in the lake

My family and I purchased this speaker to use up at the cabin on our weekend vacation. We love to go tubing and kayaking and be outdoors, and love it more when we have our tunes playing alongside us. We really wanted a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. We already had a waterproof speaker that was very small, but it really wasn’t sufficient for outdoors. We had a Bluetooth speaker that was large but it was really large and cumbersome and not waterproof. This Altec speaker is the perfect speaker for our weekend adventures. It’s waterproof and portable with great sound. We loved using this outdoors both during the day and at night. At night we used the Altec Lansing app on our phones to program our own light show. The lights added a lot of fun to the evening music. During the day it was portable enough for us to take on our day trips. It has a built-in phone charger, so we never worried about our phones going dead due to streaming music to the speaker. This waterproof speaker actually floats. We were able to take it on our tubing adventure and use it while we were floating down the river. Over the course of the two days we were at the cabin last weekend, we never had to charge up the speaker. It held a very long charge. I’m actually looking forward to purchasing another one and being able to sync them together. The speakers have a TWS feature so you can hook several of them up and have a surround sound System outdoors. We are looking forward to doing that for outdoor movie nights. We absolutely love the speaker—enjoyed having the versatility of it being fully Waterproof and the Lights. But the best quality was the sound. This is true to Altec Lansing‘s quality sound.

I recently purchased my first ever Altec Lansing speaker, which was Altec Lansing StormChaser Rechargeable Emergency Radio, and I was blown away with the sound quality. The StormChaser was perfect for my camping trip as it has Bluetooth, NOAA weather radio as well as emergency lights, solar panel, and hand crank. After hearing the sound quality of StormChaser, I just had to get this Rockbox XL Wireless Bluetooth speaker for our swim club and beach trip. This speaker was truly designed and built for the pool and beach party as it has IP67 waterproof rating and it's dirtproof. You can even supposedly throw this to the pool and it will float (I haven't tried this yet to be honest). Once it's charged, it can play up to 20 hours of non-stop music and it has cool LED lights with 5 different modes to choose from. Again, I was blown away by the sound quality and especially the deep bass that shakes the table and ground. This boombox can rock any pool party or at the beach! Finally, I love that it can act as a charging station and power my iPhone with built-in USB charging port. Simply the best outdoor wireless speaker that I have ever owned. Amazing!

This speaker is literally blowing me away! It is very small and compact yet has the volume, bass and sound quality of a large speaker. If has different light modes with the LED lights. It is also cordless and rechargeable with an extra long battery life up to 20 hours. I love that it is waterproof, it can even float making it a great option for outdoor use. I need to replace my current portable speaker and said to go bigger this time. I had altec products in the past so I knew what I was kinda getting in to. this thing is huge and I love it. it's also pretty heavy which it is also a good sign of quality. the sound quality is amazing, strong bass, and even at the loudest setting there are barely any signs of distortion. connects quickly to my phone as long as I'm in the range the connection didn't go in and out. the design makes it easy to carry around and the colorful leds are fun in the evenings. I like having the option of being able to charge my device as it is playing and being that is water proof I don't have to worry about it getting damaged with my kids around the pool. glad I picked this one
