Q: If I get an Echo, can I add my LG XBoom Bluetooth Speakers. They aren't Wi-Fi they are just Bluetooth. I'm trying to add these and use with my Smart TV which has Alexa and Google Assistant built in.

Q: how do I set up the Echo 4th gen smart home hub with alexa
A: Hi Arlene, You would download the Alexa app to your phone or tablet, or visit the web site on a computer and it would walk you through the steps. It basically has you connect to power, connect device to wifi and set up preferences. There are a lot of how to videos online as well that you could search for and watch. Hope that helps.

Q: Why is this better than an echo dot? For the difference in price I'm not seeing the value.
A: Hello, It is larger, therefor a better, louder speaker, as well as it has the smart home Zigbee hub and a temperature sensor in it, so it can help integrate smart home devices such as light bulbs without having to have an additional bridge plugged into your router. Hope that info helps.

Q: Do I need to keep the unit plugged in at all times or does it hold a charge and I can bring it with me to different rooms?
A: Hello Curious, you want to know if the Amazon Echo (4th Gen) has to maintained plugged in or if it holds the charge to take it with you to another room. The Amazon Echo (4th Gen) does not have a built in battery and must stayed plugged in, you are still able to take room to room as long as you plug it in each room you take it to. Q: what is the difference between the 2nd gen & 4th gen?
A: Hi Maria1222, The Echo Second Generation has a few differences from the Fourth Generation. The Echo Second Generation had a 2.5" woofer and 0.6" tweeter where as the Fourth Generation has a 3.0” (76.2 mm) neodymium woofer and two dual front-firing 0.8” (20 mm) tweeters. Echo Second Generation did not have a built in Zigbee smart home hub, only the plus version did. However, the Fourth Generation Echo does have Zigbee hub already built in. The light ring on the Echo Second Generation was on the top of the device and on the Echo Fourth Generation it is located on the bottom. The shape of the Fourth Gen Echo is much more round instead of tall like the Second Gen. Alexa, your Echo's Voice Assistant, functions the same way and continues getting smarter everyday! The Second Generation Echo is no longer available for purchase and the Fourth Generation is the newest release of this device. Also, 98% of the Echo Fourth Generation device’s packaging is made of wood fiber-based materials from responsibly managed forests or recycled sources. Hope that helps!
