My kids really enjoy that it is just for them and they think the tiger is perfect. It was easy to set up and the kids have found all sorts of things they love to do (floor is lava is the biggest hit)!

We've had this echo dot kids edition for a few weeks and we love it. The app was a little complicated and confusing to get them to connect but once I got it connected it was easy after that. I can set an alarm to wake my child up or as a reminder, they can ask echo to play music,to open free time which is read a story,play music or skills which teaches them and helps them learn different things. For example my 2nd grader asked for skills and it said math and my child asked for multiplication, echo asked what is 0x4= and if they get it wrong echo won't give them the answer but encourages them to quest again until they get the answer right. For skills it's not just math but it has all different kinds of things for them to learn about. I highly recommend this for kids. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Since there is already other Echo Dots in the house, all I had to do was pair this Echo Dot (4th Gen) Kids Edition to my existing app. The parental control settings allow me control over what my children ages four, six and eight can and cannot do using this kids edition. Kids really love the bedtime stories and the interactive games the most. This Echo Dot is round like a baseball with a tiger screen print face that is adorable. First of all the installation was very simple and straightforward. It looks like a little toy. It comes with parental controls. The kids had fun asking jokes and the first joke was the chicken crossing joke. It played disney music by just stating the name. It activates after Alexa’s name is called out. It comes with just one wire connection. Parents can view what has been recorded. This Dot is our first Amazon Echo product. I was nervous about two things — installation and privacy. Installation was a breeze. You simply use a free app from the App Store and follow very easy prompts. The entire process took possibly 10 minutes. Privacy isn’t an afterthought either. One of the few buttons on the Dot is one that turns off its microphone. It’s comforting seeing it’s red glow knowing that it’s not listening when we don’t want it to. This is our first Dot and likely one of many soon. It’s integrated with our Apple Music subscription and resolves voice commands seamlessly. What a great product. My kids 5 & 8 were so excited to open this up and set it up. The first night my daughter said good night Alexa, I love you. So I'm pretty sure this is how AI takes over the world, it will be the generation of our kids. Otherwise, the sound was great and I really like setting up the kids version of amazon so I don't have to worry about them hearing things they shouldn't.
