    I despise these things. Not user friendly, certainly not kid friendly. You can download videos to watch when there isn't wifi, but they expire and then even after deleting all the downloads, it still gives a pop up "exceeded number of downloads." So the tablet is useless.

There is a download limit of 25 Prime Video titles on an Amazon account including all the devices registered to the account. Please check, if you maybe downloaded something on other devices/Prime Video apps. If so, remove some of it, in order to be able to download new content again.     The tablet started to freeze 4 minutes into my toddler using it, with no falls or other damage - which is pretty bad given that we were about to board a 10h flight (that I had bought it for!). Attaching a photo of the frozen screen. Even before that, when setting it up I had figured out it has no access to YouTube, and most of the content that's on it and can be downloaded (again, for a flight) is games that cannot be played by a toddler yet. Of the few videos I was able to download, only one actually worked (for those 4 minutes) but that happened to be super scary for my kid. Again, worst purchase ever.

In regards to the lack of desirable content available, you also have the ability to add content to the device via the child profile. Here are the steps to do so: Before starting, make sure you are logged into your main adult profile. Open the Amazon Kids app from the Home tab. Go to your Child's Profile Settings by tapping the gear icon. Tap on Manage Content, then select Amazon Content. Tap on the appropriate tab for the content you wish to share and then select the content. Select Done. Return to Child Profile settings by using the back arrow.     Purchased for three of my toddlers for Christmas and I’m not fully sold on the tablet. The tablet is not user friendly and it took way too long to setup. My kids can’t seem to play the applications on their own and always need help. I like that it came with a protective case and I could set it up according to age, however, my toddlers don’t like playing it and run off with their siblings iPads instead. I love the concept, but I think it fell short in too many ways.

    Horribly slow. The battery life is pretty good but it’s almost impossible to download any movies or anything on this. It just stays completely frozen on the Disney+ app despite being connected to our home WiFi. I wanna rip my hair out.

    Hello Ash. I am terribly sorry for the trouble you are having with your tablet. While this is our entry level model, it should still not be freezing on you like this. One thing you can do to troubleshoot to possibly free up some processing power for what you are currently using is you can doublecheck to make sure you do not have too many apps running in the background. If you do not ever close apps out, they will stay open in a dormant or low power state or even depending on the app may be using up your processor. You can check this by tapping the Multitask button/icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. This brings up a window with all running apps. You swipe each one up to close them out or you can swipe all the way over and tap Close All to close them all simultaneously. If this does not solve your issue, then I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support to explore options or troubleshoot further at 888.280.4331. This device also comes with a 2 year worry free guarantee so hopefully this helps improve your experience some.     DO NOT BUY FROM TARGET. I am trying to use the included two year warranty. The warranty is through Amazon, not Target. Target gave me the phone number to contact Amazon, and Amazon is not helping.

One thing I would recommend in the event that your device is running slow or draining the battery too quickly is to make sure it is not running too many apps in the background simultaneously. You can check this by tapping the multitask icon on the lower right of the screen. This will bring up a window of everything that is running on your tablet. You swipe each app up to close out of it or swipe all the way to the right and close all of them at the same time at the end. This should help with both problems you just listed in your feedback.     Skip this and buy a regular kindle tablet. The memory on this kindle is awful, if your kiddo downloads apps like Netflix or YouTube then it takes up a ton of memory and they can only download a few games, and have to delete games to download new ones as the “out of memory” message pops up.

    Glitches Repeatedly.

    Glitches after 2 weeks. Middle of play or watching a show the screen goes black, then to the keyboard setup page, then on its own to an add. I clear out, open an app and the same thing happens. Hard reset did nothing to fix this.
