The features are great. My kid would not let go of the tablet the first day. The timer will be used often since there’s so much to do on there that I don’t want my son glued to it! I think its cool that it comes with a lot of free Kindle books. Lots of options to choose from. My 5 year old already wants to take this so she can read the Harry Potter books lol. Battery life seems on part with the other kindles I've owned in the past. I would recommend.

I like the thick bumper case on the device, although I wouldn't have minded a built in screen protector. The battery life is great, and the coolest thing about it is that you get a year free of Amazon Kids+ with the device (no obligation to stay subscribed after), which is a real nice little UI for your child's profile that filters content based on their age which you specify. You can also manually add items, which I did with Disney+ for my son to use his kid's profile on that. There is no cellular connection, though, so make sure you hotspot your phone for your child on long road trips or predownload content for them to use offline.

He has really taken to it and probably knows how to operate it better than I do. He is able to do all his pre-k activities on it and has excelled at using it for reading and math. I like that the cover is extremely protective for drops and fall, as it has been dropped a few times with absolutely no sign of damage. The parental controls were super easy to setup as well. I would highly recommend this tablet to any parent.

He takes it in the car, he takes to bed, and keeps it with him all the time. Thank goodness the battery lasts up to thirteen hours because he just doesn't want to turn it off. It's great the kid proof case is included or it would have probably been broken already. If he would break it, there is a two year worry-free guarantee. No matter how it gets broken it is totally covered by the guarantee. The screen is crisp and clear and doesn't hurt his eyes. The sound quality is just wonderful. I almost forgot that a full one year subscription of Amazon Kids is included with purchase. He can watch videos, play games, and read books. It has lots of storage space so we don't have to worry about running out of room. I would definitely recommend this to any young child to have loads of fun with.

The parental controls make it so nice to set time limits and manage what is watched or played at all times. One of my favorite features is the ad-free content with the Amazon kids plus. The sturdy case has been very handy for a clumsy toddler who is always dropping everything. I also really like that we can stream certain shows without internet connection which makes long car rides much more enjoyable. Overall this is a wonderful device!
