Made with a 100% cotton face and reverse, this cotton chenille duvet cover set offers a shabby chic update for your bedroom and is machine washable for easy care. Button closures help secure a comforter insert within the duvet cover and four inside ties in the corners help prevent it from shifting (insert is NOT included). Due to the nature of the chenille fabric, some shedding will occur naturally in the first 3-4 washes.

Cute but smells bad
this comforter is very cute. love the design, a little bit see through though. however I've washed this thing TWICE and it still has the most overpowering chemical/ plastic smell. I've never had sheets smell this bad before. sucks because it really is a cute comforter. but for the money I paid for this, I expected it to smell normal. not like it was drenched in chemicals. I'm not sure if the smell will even come out, I've already washed and dried it twice. it hasn't aired out either. maybe it was the packaging they used.

Terrible quality
Threads coming undone after initial wash. Removing loose threads Leaves holes in the fabric. So disappointed, and so expensive for such poor workmanship. Will be returning

Just as a future suggestion, it is recommended a Large Capacity Washer/Dryer such as a Laundromat be used when washing/drying to allow the comforter enough free movement. Very nice indeed!
Received and promptly put in the washing machine. Washed beautifully. Dryer lint tray full, but no shedding on the duvet at all. No snagging or fraying. The California King duvet cover fits my California King comforter perfectly. No shrinkage at all. Much nicer than I expected for the price. Retro and fun.

Shedding is wild!
First the duvet is beautiful and I love how it adds texture to our bedding as we had a plain white duvet previously. I want to love it but on the other hand it sheds sooo much I felt the need to review it. I read all reviews before purchasing and there was not mention of shedding! I washed it twice and dried it many times on air dry only to get some of the excess fluff off (it looked like it had snowed in my laundry room!). It's been on our bed for almost a week and it's still shedding. Planning to wash it again this weekend in hopes the shedding will subside.

We recommend washing it separately in cold water on a gentle cycle and tumble drying on low or air drying to help minimize excess fluff. Over time, shedding should naturally decrease. This is a very nice duvet cover. It is soft and has a nice weight. The only negative is that it does shed when I washed it. But after it went through the dryer it no longer shed. I love that it is cotton. A great buy!!!

Nice duvet set

The cover and shams are a good quality and a nice weight for summer. The set looks great on my guest room bed and brings back fond memories of my grandmother's chenille bedspread. It washes and dries great no need to iron. It's very easy to slip over your existing comforter. It's not heavy and you are able to use it year round.

The tan color of the cover works perfectly against my black blanket. The only thing I don't like about this set is the cover has a strong odor upon opening the bag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a stunning and very elegant duvet set. I could not be more pleased with the coloring or stitching of it. I like the button closure on the end to keep the duvet tucked inside. It was "shedding" quite a bit at first so I put in in the dryer on air fluff and that solved it!

This set came with 2 shams and the duvet cover with a tan background with cream chenille woven into a pattern making those parts fuzzy and keep the heat under the blankets. This set is super soft and doesn't seem to wrinkle bad great for guest bedroom

It’s so thick you could actually use it without the duvet, however with the duvet it feels like a comforter you would use at a 5 start resort. It’s so soft, and beautiful, looks amazing on the bed.
