Q: Why does the controller sections flash orange no matter what but the main headset will charge and turn green

  • A: Hi Targetlover, thanks for reaching out about Anker Charging Dock for Quest 2 - White If one or both are flashing, it could be due to one of the following situations: - Charging power is less than 15W and/or there is no battery or an incorrect battery is used: Please use a charger with at least a 15W output and use the included rechargeable batteries in the controllers. - Temperature protection triggered: Remove the controllers and allow them to cool down for 5 to 10 minutes, then retry. - A battery is not placed correctly in the controllers, or the controllers are not placed correctly on the charging dock: Make sure the metal parts of the batteries are touching the controller's contact plates, and the controller's copper plate is touching the charging dock's pogo pin. - Oxidation or dirt interfering with charging: Use a dry cloth with alcohol to clean the controller's copper plate, the dock's pogo pin, and the battery contacts. The manufacturer has a very useful support website for this product including more information on this problem. Anker is a racket because they force you to buy a whole replacement unit when you lose the very very tiny magnet. Use to be a loyal customer but I can’t support a company who takes advantage for profit.

Bought this as a gift for my son. We haven’t been able to get one of the hand controllers to charge. Unfortunately I set it to the side (in a closet) after being frustrated and decided to try again a different day with fresh eyes. Well it went into the closet and forgot about it for a few months. I saw it today and decided to try it again and it still won’t let one of the hand controllers connect. I read other reviews and cleaned all the pieces and it still doesn’t work. I decided it should be returned but says it’s now outside of the return window. It’s junk and I wasted $80. I should have returned it as soon as I had the problem the first time.

Good charger but useless since my son lost the magnetic tip. Anker support didn’t help and they are sold out of replacement parts online and look alike don’t fit.

It was awesome in the beginning but after 6 months it didn't want to properly connect and charge. It would give a blinking light, so we'd clean the connections and it would be okay for about a week before you need to do it again. Now after a year it never connects right, even with cleaning it, you can stand there for 20 minutes trying to get the connection light to stay on and it won't. So now it's just a stand, doesn't charge anymore. Not really worth it for a year of spotty use.

I love that I don’t have to constantly replace regular batteries with my Quest system because of this charger, but on a regular basis, I get a flashing red light, meaning the device aren’t charging. It’s a bit temperamental, so I’ll have to troubleshoot by taking the rechargeable batteries out and cleaning everything. While understand that’s normal occasionally, I’m doing this on a regular basis. So, when it works, it works great, but it can be temperamental.

A favorite with my kids and their friends. We only had one problem with it, and it turned out that it had an update to complete. Once we connected the device to the suggested apps/programs my kids were able to play VR games with other people virtually. It has become the preference to Xbox, Playstation, and cellphones in my home.

Works perfectly, once you figure out the right way for the batteries to be facing. The batteries for the controllers have to be put in correctly for them to charger. There are two silver squares on the batteries that show which way is right.

Make sure to plug this into an outlet and not a power strip. I noticed a difference between the 2 and the direct plug connection works best. It is super easy to charge my Oculus Quest 2, even with the star on! I love that I can see how much it has charged while it is charging. Absolutely satisfied in all aspects.
