Don't bother. I followed the directions perfectly. This box mix will not create normal cookies unless you figure out how to doctor the mix -- and if you're using a mix, then you probably don't have the time, inclination, or ingredients to do so.

This cookie mix works great if you "tweak" the recipe. I add 2 organic eggs instead of one and four heaping extra tablespoons of organic flour to the mix. I also add walnuts and some extra chocolate chips on top before baking. Also, I bake the cookies for about 17 minutes. These changes produce a totally different cookie that organic delicious! When I first made the cookies according to box directions, they were not good (flat, fell apart, a disaster) 2 stars. Now with the changes I would give them 5 stars!
I love Annie's and want to support the them in anyway I can. That said I was so excited to see these cookies available! While they were super easy to make, they came out super flat and with a super egg-ee taste. I had to cook them for about 20 minutes too which was strange for chocolate chip cookies. Too bad. Hoping the box of brownie mix in my cabinet is better.
My husband purchased this mix for an easy activity to make with my son and niece. When these came out of the oven I thought maybe I'd set the timer wrong, but I looked and the clock and no, I'd had them in for 11 minutes. They looked half baked. I put them back in the oven for a few more minutes, verified that the temp was right, verified that I'd followed the directions correctly... finally took them out and let them set. They still looked half baked and tasted stale and overly buttery. Try the other natural baking mix brand that Target carries--don't bother with Annie's.
I was excited to try these as my son loves chocolate chip cookies and expects them in his lunch. I was drawn to a healthier cookie dough. We have found a couple other brands but they were not in Target so we tried these hoping for the high quality and good taste we have come to expect from this brand. I sampled first and silently thought "uh oh" but sometimes I'm wrong in predicting my sons response so I brought some still warm cookies to my son and he said: "are these expired?!" Not even close. He disliked them enough not to finish Warm Chocolate Chip Cookies. That says everything to me. I threw the rest out.
