They are ok. My 7 and 4 year old cannot build the suggested setups on their own which we were ok with, but then the insides of the connector pieces started breaking and they would slip down the poles. If you keep it in one set-up I think they'd be fine but they definitely are not sturdy enough for multiple rebuilds. We ended up returning with lots of broken connectors.
What a great concept! I love The versatility, durability, and usability of this product. We ordered a house cover and made a fort for our son. When company comes over we can pull it apart and hide, even in our small house.
Very misleading. My kids got the pirate ship cover as a gift. The gift giver didn't realize these tubes were necessary. So I spent $50 on these tubes, only to find out it's about half of the tubes we actually need for the pirate ship. Now I either have to spend $50 more dollars or deal with returns, and in the meantime I have to deal with more disappointed kids. Really weak system.
I loved the concept, however the quality does not match the price. We spent $50 on a bus set and within 20 minutes of play, a tube cracked. When I asked the company for a new piece I was basically told I was out of luck. I will never ever but another antsy pants product because they did not stand behind their product and my son was extremely disappointed on his birthday. So sad.
I bought this for my daughters last Christmas along with the lemonade stand cover and I am really feeling like this product is a rip off. The name doesn’t say it but this is the small pack which fits a very limited number of covers. And most of the covers that fit it are basically the same “stand” type of structure - donut stand, vegetable stand, lemonade stand. The box shows kids making what looks like a full tent with this set but you can’t make that with the small set. The expander set won’t allow you to do that either and even if you could you can’t buy any larger covers separately. You have to buy a full set to get something like a tent or a ship and they’re in the $60-70 range for the full set. Good concept but the way the company packages the product rips off the consumer.
We purchased this for my daughter after my mother-in-law got her the puppet theatre. My mother-in-law, like other shoppers, was unaware that the poles were not included with the puppet theatre. These were a rather expensive 'add on' - but I also like that they have multiple purposes. My daughter can use it for the puppet theatre, or she can make a fort with her own blankets. The only downside is there are not quite enough pieces in one kit to have two 'structures' (lemonade stand AND theatre...or tent AND lemonade stand, etc.). You would be forced to buy a supplemental kit.
It's not necessarily a bad issue, but where two points or poles meet/are pushed together - the hold is strong. It has been difficult at times for my daughter to take the pieces apart on her own. I'm often called in to dismantle things for her. I'd rather have that than a flimsy product that collapses under two blankets.
