Q: Would this work with any USB-C port? I know it's branded as Apple, but would it work with a Samsung phone with a USB-C port? I don't see there being a difference, unless Apple purposely made the two incompatible.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Use a corded headset with the new Apple iPad Air tablet that has C USB not lightning anymore.

Compatible with my Samsung! Sound quality is good, and does not seem distorted. My one issue is that the volume is relatively lower when it's plugged in. However, it's an easy fix if you just crank the volume higher.
