Arabian Stallion Horse Club Figure by Schleich 13981

Much smaller than other Schleich stallions, and doesn’t stand well. The white stripe detail looks like bad graffiti. I bought it for a gift for someone with a black Arabian, but I can’t give her this.

Beautiful horse. Stands well. stunning color. Looks so majestic. I love having this as part of my collection. I love the Schleich products. Especially the horses. This horse is very well made.

I have to admit when I first saw the product images for the 2024 models the Arabian Stallion was my favorite of the bunch. However after seeing him in person I'm afraid to say that he is actually the worst of the new 2024 models. Firstly the paint work. In the product image the white Rabicano pattern is faded and subtle and blends into the black nicely. In reality the model has very obvious white lines under it's belly and while Rabicano horses do have white lines, they are usually much smaller/thinner and are blended into a larger white marking around the under belly. The markings on the model look unnatural and far from realistic. The biggest issue I have with this model is that It's legs are very thin and extremely flimsy, the store had 5 of this model in stock and only 2 of them could stand up correctly without leaning to one side or falling over completely. it would not take much force to bend it's legs out of shape completely. In-fact if you push down on the model it's legs begin to bend under it (this is not a problem any of the other 3 2024 horses I bought have). The sculpting of the model isn't bad, I like the face (although it is a little bit too dish faced for my liking) and the body is nice, however there's something off about the neck, I think maybe it should have been a little taller but overall it's a nice sculpt. Honestly I'm very disappointed by this model. I could maybe forgive the paint work but the weak/flexible legs are a massive drop in quality and I worry it's going to get bent out of shape just standing in my display cabinet, so I can't imagine what damage giving it to a child to play with would do to it. I honestly wouldn't recommend this model to anybody, not to collectors or parents.

Before I start I should mention all the reviews older than january are for other older models, as this horse was released in 2024. I don't think it's a great idea to re-use pages for new models, because now the reviews are skewed. The star rating is inflated by glowing praise of features that don't exist. Bear this in mind as you read them while making your decision. Normally I'm happy with all the models I buy, and this is one of only two exceptions I've had. They are handpainted and I wouldn't expect perfection every time, but I at least expected the shading on the belly to be as subtle as in the photo. Instead my figure has three thick white airbrushed stripes on each side, and it just doesn't look right for a horse. The white streak on the face is a nice look however and is well done. The sculpting is very detailed, moreso than usual for Schleich horses, but I couldn't get past how small the model is- it's not bad on its own, but when compared to other models the difference is striking. While the height of the back is on par with other arabians, the neck is so short, and the body proportions are much more thin and delicate that it looks a bit odd next to other Schleichs. Beautiful craftsmanship, just not very consistent. The neck in particular is extremely thin. I've attached some photo comparisons with a few of Schleich's other arabian models to show what I mean Overall, I love the detailed and elaborate sculpting, but the different sizing and proportion is extremely noticable. The biggest flaw, however, is the paint.

While he may seem pretty to a young toddler or anyone under 9, the new Arabian stallion wasn't exactly my type. In the photos, he looked strong and magnificent, but in person, he seemed small and unimpressive. Upon first seeing him, I thought he might have been a "victim" of malfunction, as he wasn't tall enough, and he didn't look quite as plump as in the photos. In the photos, his white rabicano markings looked smoky and realistic, but in person, it was just 3 white lines that made him look unrealistic and slightly disappointing. The positive side to having a new Arabian stallion is that his color is diverse and rare, which improves his overall model. Also, his sculpture is very well done, but his legs are a bit thin and bendy, so they are at greater risk of getting broken. Overall, the Arabian stallion is an average model, and I encourage Schleich to use this criticism and that of others to improve the quality of future models, as the models are overall great.

A nice idea to introduce rabicano to the colour range, although it is poorly rendered on the model's right hand side. His muzzle is finely chiselled, as is correct for the breed. The jaw and cheek areas are flat and without detail, with the eyes being small and piggy. The left eye is set too high, while the right eye is entirely misplaced, facing forwards rather than to the side. The forelock above it appears to be hiding some kind of carbuncle, so misshapen is the brow. Where things really go wrong is in the shoulders: when viewed from the front they are curved and barrel like, the exact opposite of what they should be for an Arabian. From the side they are heavy enough to make the head and neck look as though they belong to a different horse. This is carried through to the chunkily rounded hindquarters, which lack any sort of definition. On the plus side, the legs are light and strong looking, if we excuse the odd suspicious swelling! Overall, an opportunity missed: a horse that could have been absolutely wonderful is really just passable.

Our granddaughter was very happy to receive this handsome Arabian stallion to complete her family with two mares and a foal. This is a beautiful graceful figurine and stands well even on carpet!

The coloring on this horse is very unique but also very realistic. Like that it has the different stockings.

I really love it. The beading is really pretty, and it is really cool!

This was on my niece's birthday list. It did not disappoint. She was super excited to receive this beautiful hose. Great quality and will last for many years.
