Arianna Rug - Safavieh

Well made , fit perfect in my clients kitchen !

I like this rug very much, BUT it does not have a latex backing, except for 2 small strips where the rug is bound on each end. On my hardwood floors is was slippery. Also, it is a bulky weave and my door barely cleared it. I like the threads that run thru it, dark gray and a light aqua gray, colors that look great in my house, but they are very apparent. You would have to like that. Wish they (bought 2) had worked out.

Beautiful rug, braided style, I like the thickness of it, and that it looks like natural elements. Good size, too, it doesn't look small in front of a large front door.

I love these rugs! They have a light blue/gray weave and it works so good in our light gray and white kitchen! They are soft to walk on for natural fiber and I would buy again!

Perfect addition to our office. Beautiful detail in the stitching- partially blue/grey and soft to walk on.

After having little to no success with the little sisal scratcher post and the cardboard thing, I got one of these rugs thinking the cat might like to scratch his claws into it. He does! It's nice and thick, and quite durable. So because he used it, I bought another. I now have several of these rugs, and he uses then to dig his claws into and NOT my furniture. It took a little training, but he knows those rugs are his, and not to scratch on any other rugs, carpet or furniture. He uses it several times a day, and had it for two years now. He's managed to tear it up a little bit, but it still has years of use left. As far as using the rug without a cat, they are quite sturdy, thick and kind of a hard surface as one reviewer wrote, but natural like material. Has a soft backing so wont hurt your wooden floor.

Very rough to the touch, not a flat weave as described, but a very bulky weave with lots of bulges - not comfortable to walk on - will have to return this.

1. The threads that look off white in the picture are more of an aqua IRL. 2. I bought his rug to fit in an 8' space. It would have been great except it's actually 8'4", not 8' as advertised. Back to the store I go.
