Q: I do not want to over- or under-apply the product. Any recommendations for approximately how many square feet of carpet a box should cover?
A: My 30 ounce box barely covered my 8x10 carpet (80 sq. ft.). It's a smaller box than the 42 ouce size, but it should have been good for at least 2 or 3 8x10 areas...

Q: I'm not a fan of scented products. Is Arm & Hammer considering an oudorveliminstor wiyhout added scent?
A: Thank you for your question, CTshopper. We do not have an unscented version, however, the main ingredient in this product is Baking Soda. We recommend first testing for colorfastness in a hidden area with a solution of baking soda and water. Mix ½ tablespoon of baking soda in one cup of water and pour a small amount on the carpet. Allow to dry and vacuum. Observe for color change. If none, SPRINKLE baking soda on a DRY carpet. Wait 15 minutes and vacuum. This can be done every time you vacuum. Can be vacuumed with a bagless vacuum cleaner. For tougher odors, leave on longer. Q: If used on fabric couch, does the area have to be dry or can you sprinkle on to the damp area (that was cleaned with soap and water)?
A: Thank you for your question. We apologize for the delayed response. Do not use on wet or damp carpet or upholstery. This product is intended to be used only as directed. If it was applied to wet carpet or upholstery, the powder would stick to the wet carpet fibers or upholstery, and it would be difficult to vacuum up the residual deodorizing powder afterwards, as the usage instructions suggest.

Q: Though Arm & Hammer Extra Strength Odor Eliminator doesn't specifically say it removes pet odors, e.g., urine, does it work on pet odors? Or would U recommend using another powder made for pet odors?
A: Thank you for your question, GRR. This product will help remove pet odors from carpeting. It should not be used directly on the animal, nor in a pet’s cage.

Q: Can you use this in the washing machine?
A: Thank you for your question, troydhump. We do not recommend using our Arm & Hammer Carpet & Room Extra Strength Odor Eliminator in the washing machine. Our product may be used on carpeting, upholstered furniture, automobile carpeting, garbage cans, and disposals.
