The Arusha Lift-Top Cocktail Table from Steve Silver Co. adds rustic style and useful functionality to your living space. This rectangle coffee table features wood construction in a cherry finish for a look you'll love, and the wood is finished with metal panels and rivets for a touch of industrial flair. The top lifts up to move closer to the couch and offer additional storage space, and the table is set on casters that make it ultra-easy to move. Place this distinctive table in your favorite sitting area and enjoy all the convenience it has to offer.
VERY pleased with the quality since it didn’t come from an actual furniture store! Pretty sure it’s real wood and I love it! Comes with casters and expandable part already on so just the legs have to be attached and it does take a little bit and more than one person. We suggest 3 people because you have to hold up the top while someone screws in each leg and it’s heavy!
I also got mine on sale with an added veterans discount so for $250 it was a steal!
Seems sturdy--it is almost entirely solid wood (except the table top and possibly the bottom shelf, which have nice looking wood veneer). It's also easy to move around because of the casters, which are well hidden. The table was fairly easy to put together (just 12 bolts to attach the legs to the shelf and top), but having two people is ideal. I was a little surprised at how open the space between the top and bottom shelf is--it seems like my clutter (remotes, magazines, etc.) won't be well hidden, so I might need to get little decorative baskets or boxes like that to put them in. My only criticism is that it doesn't seem like the top closes very snug. We had a different lift top table and it clamped shut harder than this one. However, it was also a lot heavier and not as easy to open and close as this one. Finally, be prepared to dispose of a ton of cardboard and styrofoam. I'm glad the table was well protected and didn't come damaged, but I have a huge pile of trash to dispose of (it will take up almost the whole bin) and I'm finding little pieces of styrofoam everywhere.
