Description
Looking for an easy way to coat, seal and stop leaks fast? You've come to the right place. This super thick liquid, can be poured right into the cracks to stop water in it's tracks. It can be brushed, rolled, dipped or poured to create a high performance protective rubber barrier that blocks out air, water and moisture on a variety of surfaces and objects. The 16oz Flex Seal Liquid Clear dries to a super strong, flexible, watertight rubberized coating in under an hour. This can of leak sealant works on both indoor and outdoor surfaces - it's excellent for roof leaks, skylights, hoses, windowsills, duct work, foundations and more.
I used this on a window insert installed at an angle in my Chicken coop to stop the water leak. The leak was partially stopped and there but is still some leakage , so I didn't get the full benefit of this product. May be another coat will help a bit. Not too much impressed with this product.
I painted this on the back of crocheted rugs and coasters. Very easy to apply with an inexpensive 1 inch paintbrush that I threw in away when done each coat (took two coats on the yarn surface). I tried cleaning the brush with mineral spirits but that was not effective so I just used very cheap brushes.
Purchased because a pond was leaking. Gave it one coat. Filled the pond, it still leaked. Drained the pond and gave it a second coat, still leaking. next I will remove the sealer & re-coat the pond with concrete. A lot of work.
It just wasn't as sticky as I was hoping it would be ! ... I guess you should use this product on flat surfaces only ! ... I wouldn't recommend it for all angle leak applications except for flat surfaces because it's just too runny in my opinion !
I bought this product because it said it was good on wood, I did what they said on the label about sandpapering area before using product, also I thought it would be a one and done, but I had to redo it several times in order to get it stuck together. After the 4th time, I gave up and got some gorilla glue and what do you think happened it worked the first time. Flex seal is now in the best place in the house the garbage.
I had a leaky bleeder valve on my hot water baseboard heat system. Normally, this would have required draining the system and replacing the valve. Instead, I put several coats of Flex Seal, even though it was still leaking, and it sealed it immediately. Great product. I am now looking for other projects to use this on.
We had leaky windows in a condo that the Homeowners Association contractor tried to repair several times but the leaks would occur within 6 months or so. We had our contractor apply Flex Seal and it solved the problem with one application. When we moved to a house recently I bought a can to use on exterior wood, which is subject to dry rot. I expect it to work just as well.
