I watched this item being demonstrated on tv before I bought it. The man on tv was using an egg beater and banging on it with some kind of tool to show that it will not scratch, Well in the manual, it says to use plastc tools and be careful how you store it because it may scratch.

Best new thing since sliced bread. Made caramel popcorn, didn't stick. Cooked steak no oils or butter, doesn't stick and browns well. Received this as a Christmas gift, and brand new out of the box is a significant flaw in the interior copper surface of the pan that will affect the cooking and non-stick. Purchased 3 mo. ago...very pleased!. Like it's versatility from stovetop to oven & ease of cleaning. I'm using lower heat temps than other pans. I've added the shallow Copper Chef square pan as well.
