pan works fine as expected. However, upon opening package, it was noted a defect in the coating of the pan along the upper edge of pan's rim was seen. it doesn't appear to affect overall performance of the pan but not sure if the coating "chip" about 1/4 " in length will spread further. I had bought the 9-in pan from a tv ad and wanted the larger size to cook family-sized meals. I was very happy with the small pan's performance, but many reviews I read seemed to suggest many of the pans had poor quality control. So I Bought the larger one from a site with an actual brick-and-mortar...see moreof the reviewer's review
