Q: Is the warranty 60 days like it says on the manufacturer's site (https://www.tristarcares.com/product-powerxl-vortex-air-fryer.php) or is it 6 months as it says here? I bought one 11/30/19 it operated correctly for 4 months and is now dead.

A: That is not true. My air fryer died the other day and I bought it on April 29th, 2020. Tristar customer service said in an email to me that they can only replace it (no refund) and I would have to pay for mail postage myself to get a new replacement. I contacted Target and the said it's too late for a refund. Target only accepts refund within 90 days.

A: I don’t know when the warning was added to target’s website (I bought mine early December 2019) but the details section now states the following: This product can expose to Bisphenol A, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov I am very disappointed this wasn’t disclosed before.

I’ve had my air fryer for two years and it’s still going strong! Not sure why so many people seem to have an issue with theirs dying but mine still cooks food perfectly. The only thing I have to complain about is that the tray. Even spraying it with some oil there always seems to be some food getting stuck to it and it’s hard to clean. Even soaking the tray in water you still have to scrub really hard to get anything off.

I received the PowerXL air fryer as a birthday gift in December. In a short two months it has completely stopped working. When I called customer service and spoke to James, I was told without a receipt there is nothing they could do. Gifted PowerXL air fryers are not covered under the warranty. Buyer beware!

User interface is horrible. You have these touch buttons that barely work and get super greasy as the fryer is running. The beep is ear piercing and you cannot disable it via software. If you like to repair your appliances, this is also not the one for you. It uses Y-head screws. I disassembled the entire thing and some of the wires were frayed, which is definitely a fire hazard. The circuit board was bent to bits. These air fryers are also well known for having a faulty switch that will wear out quickly. To replace this simple switch, you need to purchase the aforementioned Y-head screws which is annoying. Please just give your money to a different company
