Incredibly disappointed. The screen is a full two inches less than stated. It's not even close to 14" -- it's 12". And I can't ship it back as it only allows in-store returns. I am not a happy Target or Asus shopper.

All tape was cut open for the laptop. Upon opening the box, there was black dog hair on the laptop protective cover. There are greasy fingerprints on the touchpad and the enter and shift buttons. I did not purchase a refurbished laptop. This was supposed to be brand new!

I've owned two previous Chromebooks. This is the first time I've owned a Chromebook Plus and used one. I have to say that I am very happy with it. The backlight keyboard is amazing. You cannot adjust the brightness of it though. The keys are very responsive and the travel time is excellent. It is very well built and you can open the lid with one finger. If you are familiar with technology you will know that this means that the device is balanced. The Chromebook Plus is lightweight considering its size. I bought this particular device because it was on sale and the specs are excellent. It has more than enough memory for anything that you can throw at it. It doesn't suffer from any lag whether watching movies or switching between tabs. You can have many tabs open doing a variety of tasks. If you trying to decide between a Windows laptop or a mac laptop or a ChromeOS device I would recommend the Chromebook Plus. I would especially recommend this one because of the previous forementioned things.

The good things about this chromebook: It comes with Intel i3 1215u CPU. (it is 12th generation Intel i3 CPU; the current generation in market is 13 as of this writing) It is a relatively powerful CPU for chromebook. Most chromebooks use less powerful CPU. And this chromebook comes with 8G of RAM. It is useful to test Windows OS by using Virtual Machine with 8G of RAM. Similar most chromebook, this one allows you to turn on developer mode to install Linux apps. It's Linux is Debian 11. The bad things about this chromebook is the battery life. It advertises 10 hours, but it actually lasts 5 to 6 hours before a charge. And for this price, typical chromebook comes with touch screen. This one does not.

First off, after researching a ton of chromebooks (14") I saw a lot of similarities between all the Chromebooks regardless of manufacturer. The faster varieties all have Intel (core i3 in particular) or Ryzen (Ryzen third generation) chips. Tested out another Asus but with the Ryzen chip and the battery is incredible but the performance of the i3 is much stronger (hence the slightly poorer battery results). With that I was looking for an i3 14" Chromebook. Battery is quite good (probably closer to 10-11 hrs), screen is excellent (matte), super fast, backlit keyboard and this is probably the best physically looking Chromebook I've ever seen. Don't hesitate.

This Chromebook has a 6 core processor, 8Gb ram and is very fast. Multitasks well, capable of gaming. The backlit keyboard is a real plus, the 1080 FHD display is sharp and quite bright. The 128Gb storage should offer enough for most users. However, would be good to have a micro SD slot for additional storage if needed. Good assortment of ports - and especially nice is the ability to charge from either side thru USB C ports. Excellent value - and even better if bought on sale.

I'm very happy with my new Chromebook Plus. My prior Chromebook, also by ASUS, was good...but this one is demonstrably very much improved. The keyboard is fantastic and well back-lit, the overall "build" is superior to the earlier iteration...and I couldn't be happier with its overall performance.
