ASUS VG278QR 27 Inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 0.5ms 16:9 165Hz LED Gaming LCD Monitor - Black

This monitor produces beautiful vibrant colors without any missing pixels; but I encountered a hardware issue a few months after receiving the device. I purchased the monitor for my security camera set-up. The monitor was attached to the wall. Once it was plugged in and powered up, it was never unplugged or moved. Imagine my surprise when I saw a blue screen in pace of video images. After conducting a series of tests as directly by ASUS, it was determined the HDMI port was inoperable. Thankfully, the product was under manufacturer warranty so I was able to send it in for repair. Customer service was excellent. They addressed my problem quickly and gave me easy-to-follow instructions on how to test the device to confirm it was indeed malfunctioning. After it was determined the device had a possible hardware issue, I received information on where and how to ship the product for repair. Customer service provided me with a mailing label so I didn't incur any shipping costs. I was pleasantly surprised when my product was returned to me so quickly after boxing it up for repair. The monitor has been repaired and it's working beautifully. I have no explanation for why the HDMI port decided to crap out, but I'm glad the situation was addressed quickly. After reading so many horrible reviews from some about the customer service, I'm pleased to report my experience was superior. My issue was handled with professionalism and concern. A+ service all the way!

Monitor did not turn on. Even when using wires for a matching make and model.

The screen goes dark several times while gaming. This negatively affects my ability to accomplish tasks and leaves my character vulnerable in several situations. This can happen at any time while gaming (shortly after I start playing or late into the gameplay) so it has nothing to do with the product overheating.

I actually own three of these monitors, My wife uses One and I use Two. High Def pictures while gaming. No issues. I do have an Issue with the compatibility of My ASUS 16X optical DVD CD Burner. Software provided by ASUS Cyberlink causes DVD’s to show a GRAINY image. I even purchased the upgrade Cyberlink Power DVD 21Ultra and it has the same result. Very disappointed on that issue.

Good monitor for a reasonable price. Works out of the box and has both DP and HDMI as well as other ports and cables. The display port cable included did break after around 7 months of use though.

The video quality is excellent but the speakers suck for sound quality. Yea I know the speakers are in the monitor but they are terrible.

Great monitor, the brightness and image quality is a great improvement over the acer gaming monitor that was just a year old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I havent had any issues with this monitor so far, was easy to setup and i love the range of motion is has with the included stand. it can be adjusted up/down, rotated and tilts. The pre made settings are pretty good too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and it came around the 4th of January. So far the quality of this monitor for 1080p is amazing. I’m currently using it as a second screen for school and as my display for my Xbox. In the future I’m looking to upgrade to a pc and use this monitor alongside another great Asus monitor.

Decided that I would spend the extra money and buy a 165 hz monitor and after doing a lot of looking around I found this one. The easy of use, the clarity of the screen as well as the .5 ms response time were enough to get me to buy. Since this purchase my experience has been very positive. The look and feel of the games that I play regardless of if it is multiplayer or single player always amazes me especially paired with my Asus 2070 Super GPU. Couldn't be more happier with this purchase.

Just bought this to replace an old 40" HD tv that was my monitor, going from 60hz to 165hz is simply outstanding im no longer waiting for frame updates.
